so i filed for my damaged handy (the thermo thing is broken it thinks its 112 degrees celcius) and im gonna get a replacement for free, but what bugs me is i feel its fixable and i dont want to chuck it in the bin if thats whats expected of me, i wonder if theres people who pay a decently cheap price for broken toys and tries to fix them and thats what im asking here
Shipping costs for regular people are so outrageous that it makes the broken toy almost worthless, at least that’s my feeling. I initially thought of trying to get one from somebody in your similar situation that was having battery problems and I’d bypass the battery. Fixing things is a bit of a hobby of mine and I don’t mind using it plugged in so it seemed like an affordable way to get one. What I realized was, even if somebody is willing to give the broken machine away, by the time you covered the shipping costs, materials, and a little something for their time you’re $50-60 into it for a used sex toy that may turn out to be non-repairable. Even though I upgraded to a OSR2+, I still keep my old Handy connected off to the side with range set to zero because that’s the only way I’ve found to get Heresphere to display the script heatmap in the seek bar. So maybe that’s one potential use case for someone? Not sure if the thermo thing disables it’s network features or not.
i still prefer handy to osr2 only for vibration scripts cause handy does it way better, and any single axis script ever really
“broken toys” … There’s your problem, once you add the word “used” in there. Who wants a used sex toy? Where has it been? What has it touched? Sell the replacement if you can, thwn fix the original.And as a bonus all you ivdb.io scrilts still work…
its a bit different when the “bad” part is completely seperate to the mechanism that makes the magic happen imo, i was thinking of selling my vacuglide and i believe it will be very easy for this reason, although the only sleeve that hasnt been unsealed is the longest one so guess i gotta discount a bit lol
