What gauge wire for the OSR2 provided on Thingiverse?

I’m building the OSR2+ based on the files provided on Thingiverse (link here). I’ve printed everything out, thought I had all my parts in hand, and then realized I didn’t order the red and black 0.1” Female-Female Jumper wires.

In the build instructions document I can’t tell what gauge wire I should be using. Does anybody have advice on what size to use?

Since this will be connecting the PDC004-PD USB-C trigger to the Mateksys Servo PDB, I don’t want to use too small of a wire and fry things. I was thinking 16 guage, but that seems too large to solder onto the USB-C trigger, and I’m having a hard time finding female to female larger than 20 AWG. Most are 24 or 22.

Too small won’t fry things. You might see the wires heat up or have reduced performance if you went super small like 28 gauge, but for the length of runs, I wouldn’t worry too much. I use 18 gauge for the units I build.

thank you. I’ve ordered some 20 awg, that was the thickest I could find as a female to female.
