Hi, I’ve recently had one of my scripts removed by Gumroad due to it being NSFW. Even though I’ve used censored images of the video it’s to be used with. I’ve also had it removed from ko-fi.com
What selling platform do scripters generally use that allow selling of funscripts?
Paid scripters use https://payhip.com/ for selling their scripts, but I guess it’s just a matter of time until things could change. With them offering PayPal it’s pretty much only a question of when they could change things. Company is located in the UK so as long as people don’t report that stuff and they don’t take notice things will be fine.
Otherwise not much choice there. Offering PayPal will get you banned quickly if they take notice which can be circumvented by having the payer not mention anything in regards to buying/selling (especially never mention Porn) and using PayPal Family & Friends (but only for a certain amount in a certain time period) so watch out here too.
Also depending on where you are from look into tax rules etc.
I’ve made an account on PayHip but for some reason, no matter what browser I use, I can’t get into the My Account page. Each time I click on the button it just stays on the homepage. It’s weird.
Anyone else have this issue?
Finally got into my PayHip account. I’ve listed the item but I’m unsure what to use as a payment method after you mentioned offering PayPal will get me banned. I’m in the UK so have the following options:
PayPal
Stripe
Square
Mollie
Offering PayPal through PayHip won’t get you banned. Selling scripts directly with PayPal and abusing Family & Friends or someone writing “thanks for the porn funscript” or something like that will get your PayPal investigated (if you receive dubious amount of money from strangers) or straight up banned (using it for selling stuff which is made for porn). So you can offer PayPal through PayHip. The question is how long will PayHip work at all for selling such content. PayPal is one of their banking partners so pretty much the same thing as Gumroad in that regard. It’s safe so far though.
A lot of scripters ,as well as I, have used Patreon, but of course that is more of a subscription based way of selling scripts rather than a one time pay per script model. I recently had my Patreon closed due to violating their terms which was because I linked my script to my MEGA archive because people are stealing posts from Patreon and posting them on other websites. I recently went to Onlyfans which has had it’s trials as well since they do not have a way to upload scripts to posts, so I have had to get creative and host my scripts through my Discord with passwords being accessible through Onlyfans. It feels like a lot of hoops to jump through but it seems to function well enough for now. It is getting ridiculous as to what Patreon and Onlyfans actually allow you to post now a days. I hope this info is somewhat helpful.
