So the problem isn’t new, it’s just a bit old (a few months, I’d say)
For my part, several scrappers are in total disarray and don’t work or don’t work properly (VRSPY, PORNCORN,FUCKPASSVR, VRBANGERS)
The first two don’t let me retrieve the new scenes during general scraping (nothing to do)
For VRBANGERS, as I’m in Europe, using my VPN in Canada lets me do the updates, it’s a pain but it’s possible.
My default setting is as shown on the screenshot for the scraper part, am I missing something?
The last xbvr update is getting old, anyone have any info on the next one? is it stopped? how can I support the project if necessary?
Thank you for your feedback, I know it’s possible to add scenes manually but I find it irrelevant, the goal is still for it to be automatic.

Here’s the status of some of these…
- VRSpy added a Javascript challenge, which xbvr can’t handle. As a result this scraper is broken. You can either get the “scrape pack” from xbvr’s Discord. This is a file you import into xbvr to add scenes. It is usually updated within 24 hours of a new scene being released. The other option is to add a StashDB scraper, which requires a Stash API key - free, but you have to create a Stash account - and is slower to update.
- PorncornVR and RealJamVR use the same scraper as the sites are owned by the same folks and use the same template. Both broke just recently, so we’ll hopefully see an update soon.
- VRBangers works for me, but I use a VPN with a dedicated IP to scrape because of geo blocking like you describe. It’s an unfortunate reality today with all the anti-porn legislation around the world.
- NaughtyAmericaVR is also geo blocked for many and has an issue pulling performer names at the moment.
xbvr doesn’t take donations. They update when the main developer gets around to it. It can take a while at times. There are grumblings about a forked version of xbvr coming soon - because the current developers are making no progress on basic quality of life improvements, are slow to fix things, and slower to release.
