Edit
So, I think I can see how a suction system would work. With the cheap-ass I am, Finding vacuum pumps online is dirt cheap ($20). For example https://german.alibaba.com/product-detail/VN-C1-12V-24V-Single-Head-1600606455751.html.
You probably can DIY one and attach it to your closed and sleeve easily like that. With a timer based relay you can also control the sucktion frequency and a t-valve to let air out on the downwards stroke!

Thank you for the follow-up! I will incorporate it to OP!
I am trying to keep everythig cheap. Unfortunately mag lock is not cheap, which is why I intentionally did not suggest it. Traditional timer based locks should not fail at all anyways, you just need one. The key is to have safeguards, more than one is suggested, as long as they are guarded by sacrifices.
Yes! This was also what I considered in my post. You can probably use a sock or something and tie a knot that only releases when the ice melts, its a bit messier but free and could also work quite well.
That sounds important. Could you link some of those reports. I think it is important to attach them to the post, due to their relevancy. I don’t think timer locks should be unsafe. They probably internally operate similarly to mag locks, basically once power is lost, they open up. Once again, failsafes should be in place, ultimately, last resort, you gotta call a buddy (or ambulance).
Absolutely! I don’t like to stress this too much, because it does really sound scarry and cumbersome to be 100% safe. Anything can go wrong, fire, a plane could hit your home. That said, setup failsafes. For the lock I’d say, setting up a sacrifice works, for a technical failure, you’d need other assistance, e.g. calling a friend or similar (Hands free possibilites exist like Google Assistant or Siri, or scheduled messages, and so on).
This breaks immersion. You should not be able to free yourself without sacrifice at all times. Getting embarassed is an ultimate sacrifice if technical failure is in place, otherwise the proposed sacrifice works.
I think too! Assembling them can get finniky, but I think with wood, hammer and nails you can build yourself a nice setup! I am wondering, how do you integrate a suction device next to a stroker? (I checked your profile, found my answer! How to Hack a 'Suck-O-Mat 2' (EU) or 'Hummer 2.0' (US) to give Full Controllable Suction for your Handy) After all the stroker is probably the one element you do not want to miss out. Accidentally slipping out would be fatal, you shouldn’t be able to escape after all, if it happens, it happens I guess.
