Iâd like to take part this month. I guess I prefer live action but Iâm fine doing animated if thatâs how it works out.
I think I need to discuss why weâre asking everyone to clarify their preference for live action, animation, or either.
This is our first attempt at doing an event like this which clearly has a lot moving parts. Since itâs our first attempt at something this, we want to try to make everything as easy as possible for everyone involved. When we, the event planners, were discussing potential themes that we might see in this event, it became clear that some of those themes would be impossible if a team member happened to only script animated content. We felt that, while far from impossible, having a mixed team with some members who only script live action and some members who only script animation could make agreeing on a theme unnecessarily difficult.
The result of this is that weâre going to try to put live action scripters on the same teams, animation scripters on the same teams, and for anyone who says âeitherâ weâll use them to fill in whatever gaps me might have in team rosters.
Whatever your answer is to this question, youâre not going to be locked into doing only animation or live action. Youâre free to do whatever you want as long as it works for your teamâs theme. If you said you prefer animation, and you get placed on a team with others that also said they prefer animation, but it turns out that you want try scripting a live action video, you are free to do that.
The important thing is that you answer honestly, and clearly, on what you really enjoy scripting. If, for instance, you almost entirely enjoy scripting animation, but thereâs a small chance that you would enjoy scripting live action if it was just the right pornstar or a very specific type of video, then I would advise you to just say that you prefer animation in this case. And the same goes for the other way around. It will probably be easier on you and your teammates.
Forgot to mention I need to be in team Queer to be happy. Just if anyone cares
I wanna be in team queer too!
Girl ill be really mad if you are and I am not.
Letâs hope we get drafted to team queer!
AlsoâŠâŠI began responding and I was like âI wonder if they meant QWEER?â So I didnât know lolâŠ
!
This is not a criticism of the theme - I think it is a very good idea as it will bring different skill sets to the table/each team. I am just curious, how is this supposed to work in practical terms, as in is a video supposed to be partially finished by one scripter then sent to the other team members to be finished /improved?
Should each scripter complete one part of the video and hope one team member knows how to compile partial scripts together so they match? I just wanted to hear what the event organisers had envision in this regard.
Count me in. Amateur level here.
I should have read the opening post more thoroughly regarding the team members making there own individual scripts - I donât need the answers to my questions.
What I will say is thisâŠ
Some may have read my opinions of animated content previously on here - each to their own, script what you enjoy, some animated stuff is actually good - but personally I think the scripts section is starting to look too much like Cartoon Networkđ
So itâs live action, the real deal, the DREAM TEAM for me!
At least you can hide animation / hentai tags if you donât care about animations and donât want to see them.
But on contrary the one not interested by « reals video » canât
But itâs another subjectâŠ
Currently someone are editing old animation topics to add tags, maybe thatâs why your have impression to see more of them
I donât want to clutter this thread with comments about animations, so after your reply to this - letâs not. Maybe I should start a thread/topic for people to discuss it.
But I will say one last thing though buddy, my impression of there being a lot of animations hasnât just changed recently there has always been too many of them in my honest opinion, there is too much good real action out there, to be scripted. Fair enough if the animation is well made or actually interesting then I get it, script away. For me though I find it mad that so many people script animations over live action, but like I said script whatever you enjoy watching.
Btw who in there right mind doesnât like or isnât interested in live action/real videos!
Thatâs crazy talk!
Lets keep it civil guys and channel that passion into scripting. May the best team win!
Yes. Civility, PLEASE. I will sayâŠthere is a lot of animation. EhâŠitâs ok. Itâs not my site so I have no say. SoooâŠ
I just like looking and boobs n fuckingâŠanimated or real.
I donât know how I am not being civil, what did you both read in my post that wasnât civil?
please enlighten me.
I have no issue with anyone wanting to script cartoons, I have scripted some myself before. I just think live action is better, that is all.
This thread should be about the epic event that is about to go down,
not about animations - but it seems that is exactly whatâs happening! Ha Ha
And Midevil the best team will win⊠THE DREAM TEAM BABY! lol. itâs on!
After browsing through your portfolio Midevil I see you are what I will from here on out call âA toonyâ!
I shall see you in the scripting Thunderdome my friend - Toonys vs Reealys - I need to work on a better name for us Reealys! but either way the showdown will be unforgettable!
Iâm not exactly a team player, but Iâm willing to try.
my topics, as usual, are real videos, priority is pov 2d, but an option with vr is also possible
What, I think, is that @Midevil means everybody should be civil. Not just you, but every other person that wrote something. Or even anyone, writing, in the future. Case in point, me right now.
I have, of couse, my own opinion about this âsituationâ. But I know that me talking about it, here in this Topic, will amount to no actual âresultâ. Or well, âbettermentâ of the community. As it is my own subjective opinion.
I personally think that everything you said, amounts to light banter at best and holds absolutely no maliciousness, probably just some mild discomfort. Which is understandable.
Though. I have to add/ask if you realized, that it looks like you challenged one of the judges( @Midevil ) of this event?
What did I want to say next? Ah yes!
This sounds like a very good idea!!! I would be in!
And on that note I and probably the judges too, would appreciate if any further replies here are kept On-Topic/Event-relevant! Thanks!
Love and Peace!
I think its not that much team after the team chose the topic and when script is done checking each others scripts to make them even better.
Thank you for all the new sign-ups!
Awesome, nice to see new players joining the pit
What kind of content you would like to script? Real live action or animated content?
Probably not the answer you want to hear, but all I can say is: Itâs up to you. One member can finish a script, another member can check it after and may improves it. Some member has difficulties scripting a particular section, can then ask for help and another member helps out. Itâs all up to you. You have all the freedom when it comes to collaborating and as well as the theme.
We are hoping to see some unique and interesting themes that will not only blow us away, but the whole community.
Oh dear another âToonyâ among us - âReealysâ come forth! and be part of the DREAM TEAM! for we are currently outnumbered!
I didnât realize at the time! That is hilarious. I thought his âshow me what you gotâ post, was a call to arms, haha.
I only noticed after, that @Midevil is in fact one of the judges - I know he has the smarts to understand this is all merely a bit of fun to liven up the battlefield between the teams and turn this event into one for the history books. Midevil will get to keep his head on his shoulders and watch the action from above the Thunderdome!
PS there is absolutely nothing is this entire thread that isnât civil to my eyes, we are all here to make or enjoy epic scripts. There is no âsituationâ my comment about the script section looking like Cartoon Network isnât to stop people making the scripts they like, it was just an observation of there being a lot of animated videos there. Which is true is it not? This is my last comment about animations! hahahaha
Didnât want to answer a second time on this, butâŠ
Maybe I over interpret your posts, but I see the message « stop doing animations, do only real life scripts, it a waste of time to do animations »
Multiple times, by saying « join the dream team, the real deal » or tell people are mad to scripts animations over IRL videos
But maybe Itâs just me, sorry to interpret like that
