Are you a SexLikeReal user?

DeoVR and SLR are different products with a separate databases. I don’t think there’s a way to merge the two.

I can think of showing local scripts folder in Deo though. Not sure if it helps

In the browser the only thing I see under “My Scripts” are the scripts I bought where the video is no longer available on SLR (like VRBangers and VRConk scripts). Do you see something different?

I created a playlist for all the scripts I pay for or download as monthly freebies. Might be something to consider.

I think you misunderstood me
In Deovr if I browse to sexlikereal.com the “my scripts” menu line doesn’t appear, the only way to find scripts you can watch online that you have paid for is to go through pages of videos looking for a heat map
In pc web sexlikereal.com all scripts I purchased are accessible by a “my scripts” menu line

Totally. Should add a list of PPV and PPS into the app with upcoming releases

Going to fix that :+1:

Checking with testers as it already should be there. What’s your headset?

Try clicking “Playlists” first, then select “My scripts”
It shows “My scripts” even if there no purchased scripts.

will try tomorrow thanks

I purchased a 1 month subscription to SLR and after a few videos was extremely disappointed. I am using a Meta Quest 2. The interface is clunky, and juggling between the controllers and the Handy is too much of a pain. I 100% regret my decision to subscribe.

Trying to get Heresphere/XBVR users away from that platform is like trying to get graphic artists away from Photoshop. I tolerate DEO for choosing which scenes to download, but it’s just not up to scratch as a player. The main reason why, say, the Netflix player is fine while DEO is not is because almost every damned VR scene needs fixing in some way. This is actually a massive problem across the industry, just inconsistent production quality and format, no agreed standards and a huge difference in color grades, angles, scale etc. I have no idea how to get round this but it’s definitely a barrier to mainstream adoption. Every release from every studio is like flat-packed IKEA furniture that you have to self-assemble.

That’s bad. Have you used deovr app for browsing slr?

What exactly are you fixing and how?

Never had that feeling

I sub to SLR.
It’s a little pricey, so I could see it not being for everyone for that reason, but I feel the content with the scripts is worth it. AI scripts, while not as good as hand made ones, I don’t find distracting enough to not use them, and I’m generally happy to have them rather than videos with no scripts.

Biggest issue with SLR is the reliability of the tech. Having to frequently reset my modem for it to work, and recently not working at all with my android device and connecting to Quest. Got it working on iphone, so I didn’t check the forum if this was a more widespread issue than just me. But having to play tech support when you are just looking to…relax, is pretty frustrating.

I used to get the 12.99/m and that was amazing.

Can’t afford it now

What do I have to fix?

Color / tone / contrast / saturation. I have presets for most studios to get a more natural consistent look. Some studios use too much contrast, some are washed-out and look like log files. Often highlights are too close to white. There is no accepted standard for grading. It’s worse in VR than for movies, as movies (like the Matrix) can adopt an artistic grade to suit the mood whereas VR is trying to imitate real life. To complicate matters, studios often change locations from inside to outside with different lighting and tonal values, which requires keyframes to correct different parts of the scene.

Scale / distance. A scene which is poorly shot can be saved with some corrections. Usually scale is slightly too large. If the distance is too far (common in SLRO) zooming in helps, but then scaling has to be reduced to compensate. A common mistake across the industry is to have some parts of the scene shot from a different distance to other parts, so again you need to keyframe the fixes (DEO can’t do this). A typical scene that is carefully fixed may need 8-10 keyframes, ie 8-10 different sets of adjustments with each change of position / camera angle.

Left/right image syncing. Badoink used to be especially bad in this regard but frequently the left image is at a slightly different height to the right image. This is sloppy and must be fixed to avoid headaches. There may also be horizontal L/R fixes. Again, this may have to be keyframed.

Pitch / yaw etc: Almost every scene requires multiple fixes to get the stunt cock in the right place, and again this needs keyframes. When you play the scene, unless you want to use the joystick all throughout the viewing to align the camera properly, you have to do what the director / editor should have done to begin with. Although HS has good “on the fly” image movement control and DEO has its own inferior version of this, it sucks for immersion to have to change the image on the fly. Positional key framing for camera changes is one of the main fixes and it probably takes the most time, it’s quite tedious. How to avoid creating this problem (like Czech VR seems to, mostly?) - put the stunt cock in exactly the same place relative to the camera in every scene and angle. You’d want to have laser pointers attached to the rig for ultra precision. When I’m sat down watching porn, no matter what happens on screen my body / cock doesn’t move in relation to my eyes, so consistent positioning of the stunt cock makes sense, no? Most directors apparently just put the rig where they feel it should go, but frankly AR/VR requires a more scientific approach, especially as the market and tech matures. I’m sure James Cameron would agree with me

If a scene is good, I’ll spent 10-15 minutes ensuring that when I watch it for real it’s a smooth experience and I’m not distracted by technical flaws and out of whack positioning. These changes can’t be fully implemented in DEO, so unless you produce technically perfect content (and no one does) it’s just not the right player for anyone with the skillset to fix / improve a scene.

We are adding customized settings within the timecodes. Hope that works for you. Also you should be able to share these publicly

Also passed pitch/yaw part to our editing team

That helps, but you need more than just brightness and contrast for fixing exposure in DEO. The image falls apart immediately with more than very subtle tweaking. Comparing DEO and HS image control is like comparing a remote control car with a fighter jet. DEO is an incredibly blunt and ineffective tool right now, I’m sorry to say.

Maybe if you spent more time evaluating the thousands of detailed and constructive feedback cooments on your videos and then actually watching the product to see for yourself instead of either shilling here or shit-talking your customers on your own site, you wouldn’t have to ask this question.

Customers are not here to teach your ever changing stable of amateurs how to film VR. We should be charging you for coaching.

Hi doublevr,

I just want to say that I’m really glad to see a lot of feedback being implemented. And the AI scripts lately are very good! I was sceptical first but I tried a few recent ones and they are awesome!

Are there any plans to bring in new studios? I was bummed to see VRBanger leave. Would be cool to have someone like Badoink, Virtual Taboo or NaughtyAmerica on SLR.
