Becoming more difficult to find scripts I haven't already seen

I’ve been trying to improve my custom searches to find new (to me) scripts. Here’s one example:

#scripts:free-scripts -tags:gay,solo-male,solo-female,hmv,pmv,fap-hero,faphero,cockhero,vr -in:seen

In the above search, the ‘-tags’ part works but the ‘in:seen’ portion seemingly does nothing; I get hits for things I’ve already reviewed (browser recolors those links as previously opened). Is that feature broken or am I doing it wrong?

I see there’s a date range that can be added but I feel like that’s going to prevent me finding other scripts.

I’d also like to be able to remove hits for certain creators/users; is that possible?

Try using in:unseen instead of -in:seen.

(Moved the post to the Help section.)

Interesting. That eventually worked. The first search I ran with that came back ‘0 results’ I then ran:

#scripts:free-scripts in:unseen

Which took maybe 10 seconds to process. After that, the original search is also working.

Also, the below does seem to work for filtering out a specific user

#scripts:free-scripts -@username

I was originally searching an alternate name the creator uses, but turns our they post under another name.

I would suggest adding “in:first” aswell if you only want to show topics (since new script are usually in the first post), instead of any post.

I assume that only applies if searching by keywords(s)? I’m not in this example, but that’s good to know.

It’s already stopped working. Running the below search now is showing posts I’ve looked at even within the last hour.

#scripts:free-scripts in:unseen

I just tried clearing my cookies (doesn’t seem to use them) and logging in again.

No, including in:first limits the search to topics. Without it, you’ll get search results as soon as there’s a new reply to a topic you’ve already seen.

Hmm, in:first isn’t helping either. in:unseen just seems to stop working after I’ve looked at 10-20 posts. The search seems wonky, in general. I just had a search like below start showing ‘0 results’.

#scripts:free-scripts in:unseen -tags:gay,solo-male,solo-female,hmv,pmv,fap-hero,faphero,vr

I tried removing the ‘gay’ tag and got some results to show up (which didn’t have the ‘gay’ tag in them). I then re-added that tag (so, same exact search) and was getting results again.
