Did a test run on upscale for Isis Taylor (200%) and Lela Star (400%). It took 1,5 hrs to complete so it was manageable to do a test run. I’ll keep the files for awhile, but I’m gonna need the space for other things so the links will end up dead eventually.
Isis Taylor (1080p@48fps): 305.98 MB file on MEGA
Lela Star (1440p@60 fps): 1.41 GB file on MEGA
Note on Lela Star upscale. The source was only 360p so not much to work with. I also hate when upscale makes the skin go plastic and shiny as a Barbie doll so the video is not as sharp as it could have been to avoid that. Someone with more skills in upscaling might want to spend time optimize settings and use more tools that I know are available than just depend on Topaz Video Enhance AI for the upscale. However, I ended up doing an interpolation to 60 fps afterwards while at it. The original source was only 20 fps.

Guess i don’t need to do it…though I was 2/3rds done when I saw this. My version was only upscaled 300%.
These are great selections Mr. Schaklefurd! I really hope they get scripted and upscaled. 
I really like the idea of giving new life to pre-HD era videos. Upscaling will only become easier and more accessible as time goes on so I really hope scripters with an interest in these vids just go ahead and script what they like with the assumption that they’ll eventually be upscaled.

Just want to note that the Jada Stevens scene is already scripted somewhere around here and pretty good too if I remember correctly. Still, an upscaled Version would benefit that as well.

I just started the upscale. Should be completed sometime this afternoon (i.e. ~3-4 hours) including a frame rate interpolation to 60 fps.

Switched the Isis Taylor video to a variant with higher fps (24 → 48) and a more reasonable bitrate (my post with the original link has been updated too).

Since I seem to need to work on my upscaling, I thought I’d go in a different direction. I created a 2D to 3D version of the Jada Stevens video, using Sentinel’s repaired version of what I loaded earlier. FAIR WARNING…it will not look like a professional 3D shot video which uses special cameras, but it does give a sense of depth. It works better on higher resolution videos. 720p works ok, but it should be 1080p or higher. Hopefully someone will like it.
