One of the DS3218’s on my osr2 died so I replaced all four of the servos with Injora SPT5835W-180
It’s a brushless servo available on Amazon for about $35/each
The combined noise of stroke and tilt servos seem similar to the Handy, but it’s six months since my last Handy died. The twist system is a bit louder - I’m pretty sure that’s from the big gear surrounding the Fleshlight. In any case, in a typical home, someone two rooms away from you isn’t apt to hear it.
Overall, it’s much quieter than my Venus 2000.
The mounting jig I made for my OSR is substantial, and even though it weighs about 40 pounds, it rocks a little on the bed. Those servos have considerable thrust.
I’ve had several plastic parts wear out or break. If I was printing them myself I’d look for more durable material and increase infill. The fact it’s user serviceable is great.
A very valuable option is a heated case. I added a 12v thermostat from Amazon so I can set the temperature.
Otherwise, it’s a fun ride.
