Me rambling around
SSR1 is still in a beta
state as Tempest was working on it (marked as alpha4 I believe) still before switching to other projects at around June-September last year. As a result it hasn’t had much time to really be noticed let alone replace people looking to upgrade or purchase an Handy.
Plus the fact you had to DIY it yourself at some point to fix problems despite purchasing it pre-built easily puts people off.
Keep in mind that OSR2/SR6 are both came out after the Handy and don’t have that much market/usage share alongside Marketing. (they’re also a ton more price wise than the Handy)
NOTE: I think SR6 was first mentioned back at the end of 2020 with it’s release update being in mid 2022, OSR2 was early 2020 with it’s release update being only a few months afterwards although last big update was in later 2021. Meanwhile SSR1 was first mentioned early 2023 and last update was maybe mid 2023. Handy has been around since 2020.
Finally something that seems to be an reoccurring thing is people think that more axis means better but nope, some people only like single axis movement meanwhile others really like the extra axis. I believe that is something that people need to look at before going multi-axis since there’s been more than an handful of posts selling their devices after finding it to not be worthwhile.
However the male sex toy market has been very under cooked since prior to 2020 I think the Fleshlight Launch was the best around and that’s invisible now due to it being too slow. Female toys have been cooked more just sell better.
Looking back on this ramble
I have no idea how I said this much while not answering or replying to the point of your thread…though I hope that the things I’ve said are useful/helpful despite it all being an ramble around.
Also sorry for the ramble
