after only 3 months i experienced the handy 2 overheat error and now my device is completely unusable, i tried to contact support but since i bought the handy from taketoys and not the official website they cant provide their warranty, is there anything i can do with it or is it just a useless brick now (it hasnt been overclocked idk if the non pro can even do that or not)
I’m not a handy owner, but I’ve read lots of help threads about them:
You can try reseting the cashe to see if that clears the overheat error.
You can also use their app 
to factory reset the device:
If neither of those things work, you’ll have to work out what the error is about and try to remediate yourself. I highly recommend you don’t buy a new handy 2, either way, since their devices are shit compared to what you can get on the OSR market for a similar price.
I bought a s6 but that is also garbage the piston thing doesn’t even click and I think a bit of the circle is broken, I don’t think there’s a single funscript toy that doesn’t fall apart from a small breath, i contacted them but for some reason i have little hope itll go my way, the handy 2 is a whole other can of worms in terms of support and i might just chuck it in the bin depending on what they say
Do a chargeback a properly built sr6 shouldn’t have issues there are plenty of sellers that build devices that don’t break @Vespera is one of them. Generally funscript devices should be durable.

so overclock as a last resort will fix it? what if the default temp jumps up to 150 upon bootup or something lol
Yea that seems to be the only fix.
ill wait a few days for them to email me back and if they dont or spit in my face ill try it, additionally ill leave a negative review for what thats worth but thats like adding a leaf to a forest with all these issues
I had same issue. You can set high twmp threshold higher and still use. Mine always shows motor temp as extactly 102.36c. I did also get a warranty replacement sent to me as well.
The more people talk about issues openly the less people will buy from that company. So leaving a negative review is still a good thing no matter how big a company is or how impossible it feels to fight them. They are only doing replacements because the community pushed them too if they are being stingy there will be consequences.

it feels like it clicks but if i put a tiny bit of pressure on it (uknow when you insert) the thing pops out
oh yeah, so i can change the offset of the temp but only by like 10 degrees which doesnt do anything for me since 92 is still considered too hot, however the overclock method i assume lets you change it to whatever you want
I don’t own a mirabot device, but every OSR2 device I know of has one of those plastic-retaining-springs in the fleshlight adapter. Not saying yours couldn’t be deformed or damaged, but I know from my device that when it was brand new it required quite a bit of finicky BS to attach the toy sleeve to the case. Sometimes you might need to insert something into the gap after the case is attached to full insure it doesn’t decouple. This is a flaw the with OSR2 design.
EDIT: looking at your photo, it seems like that particular retainer would require quite a bit of force to attach the toy to the machine. You could maybe use a flathead screwdriver to depress the retainer before inserting your toy. Over time the plastic will weaken and it will be easier to do.
