Iâve noticed the same. At moderate to fast speeds (250-400u/s), the device struggles to reach top bottom during downstroke, and sometimes it kind of gives up/cut off for a fraction of a second and then carries on with the next scripted action point which moves it upwards.
Iâm experiencing that as well when it is cinched down. It could be a complex number of things with OhDoki adding the parameters for the soft starts and stops, extra adjustments and as suchâŚI would assume extra âload sensorsâ. But for me, itâs cutting off completely. It doesnât lose WiFi connection the majority of the time, and I primarily use heresphere and play local files. Simply hit the refresh button and itâs going within two seconds. Other times it is completely frozen with the lights still on. Canât switch back and forth from WiFi and BluetoothâŚcanât long press the power button to turn it offâŚnothing. Paperclip reset is the only thing working at that point. Before I went to sleep, and again today, the Bluetooth function is tripping balls. It will see the handy2, connect to it, and immediately drop that connection. As many times as I refreshedâŚit said the same thing. The errors msg disappeared so fast I had to be quick with the screen-shots.
This doesnât happen to me at low speeds, in fact a slow blowjob/deepthroat can really make you feel the torque of the motor pushing down hard on your cock through the sleeve, considerably more than the OG Handy, and it feels amazing. However, during a repetitive up and down faster section like cowgirl -as I said, somewhere between 250-400u/s- it really struggles to go all the way down. My OG Handy didnât have this problem (I never updated it to firmware 4.x though) so I also think this is more related to firmware than heat or other hardware limitations, more so considering that as I mentioned, at slow speeds you can really feel the torque pulling down hard.
The OG definitely doesnât have that issue, which is why Iâm having trouble sensing higher torque throughout the struggles. Until it freezes up, it is doing some beautiful transitions on high speed, complex script work and shows so much promise. As OhDoki mentioned previously, only KickStarter backers have the luxury of overclocking without voiding warranty. I appreciate that as well. The silicone is peeling up around the display screen already after two uses. As they learn firmware changes that are needed, considering a different adhesive that will stand the test of time, and responding to all of the oddball issues as well as the common onesâŚit would be great if they released something identical to FW 3 other than a be new end points. Let us find out if it is actually going to be better than the OG. At the time of this writing, it is falling short in all ways that matter.
Maybe this improves with more use though. I noticed that the slider was very stiff during the first couple of days, but now itâs noticeably looser, you can move the slider up/down with the device turned off and it doesnât offer as much resistance as it did at the beginning. So I think it needs some breaking-in period to loosen up a bit. The device comes very well lubricated out of the box, you can see the grease/lube if you examine it closely, so maybe it needs time/use to spread evenly.
Iâm sure to an extent there is a sweet spot in break in period, but I distinctly recall not having the issue with the OG. Mine eventually developed some minor slack where the strap receiver connected to the allthread stroke mechanism. But as for ease of sliding up and downâŚthat was very hit and miss and still is. If it is nearly at 0 or nearly at 100, my OG OG Handy prefers to be slid manually to the closest end, and then will allow relocation with one finger.
The sleeves break in amazingly, right before they are full of holes. Like a flannel shirt that grandpa has had through thousands of wash/dry cyclesâŚjust as soft and comfortable as you can imagine. Iâm sure that sleeve material relaxing some will help some.
PS: I noticed this improvement in the stiffness of the slider particularly after overclocking it to the 600mm/s preset, maybe giving the device more power helps it loosening up

I cranked my high limit to Maxine the moment I connected to the inbounding app. Reset to default settings after some issues. When I get home I doubt it will connect to onboarding. Have you successfully Bluetoothed to anything else like SLR? I need to troubleshoot before I open a support case. These folks are going to be swamped for several months
