@Islanti Can u remove the battery and only use the power connector (electricity)?
I canāt really say much about this, I never run into any charging problems. From what I heard, you can plug the Handy 2 into power, while using it.
99% of the Handy 2 units work. What you read is a loud minority, that, rightfully, tell about their experience and that they have problems. I wouldnāt worry too much about it. If problems occur, the Handy team will take care of it. I think they are doing their best to solve every problems that may occur.
Handy 2ās battery is a life changer for me. I would never want to get back to wired. Only if the device something like multi-axis, like the FUNSR PRO does. But for every single stroker, I donāt want to deal with cables anymore. It frees everything up so much and handling is much easier. But everybody has a different preference.
Couldnāt agree more. The single biggest selling point IMO.
The more something is hands-free and/or cables-free, the better. Iāve used the H2 Pro with the high power USB and just on battery power and I canāt tell a difference between them. The unit is ridiculously compact and light for something that is stronger than the H1 and seems to last 9+ hours on a single charge.
Thanks for covering the final adapters, It is good to hear that they perform well during use.
I received my third party adapter and long sleeve holder a couple weeks back but for differrent reasons havenāt been able to use them.
With the long sleeve holder I had mistakenly assumed that I could use the Handy 1 strap and the strap from the Handy 2, but the Handy 1 strap is too fat to fit into it. I canāt bring myself to throw another 60-70 or so at ordering another couple of official straps to make it usable. (and reading this should really add an extender, bumping the cost up to more like +100)
The third party adapter is a different problem, namely that I am not generally able to go do a full teardown and cleanup right away and this design does not really look like it will work any other way unlike the original fleshlight case.
I must say that I have been finding the overall noise level (Handy 2 pro) dissapointing, itās not so bad sub 100 or so speed, but it increases so much as the speed goes up and I havenāt dared go past anything yellow in a heatmap. Itās not like it is the noisiest thing ever but it isnāt drastically quieter than previous devices (except at super slow speeds) as the kickstarter seemed to imply it would be (And was the top reason I spent so much backing it plus accessories)
The cable was one of the half a dozen reasons the Handy1 went in a drawer and never came out, so the battery is great for me though.
Now that the Pro comes with no warranty (or rather, using its one differentiating feature immediately voids the warranty), would you (and yāall) still go Pro for the $140 difference?
Most of the other selling points are now gone - no teflon on the Pro, same stroke length, much less difference in battery (Standard now 60% of Pro vs 20%).
Currently, the Pro offers 60% more battery life (3200 vs 2000), 12% higher top speed (450 vs 400), a bigger motor, and the ability to overclock but lose support. For 60% more money.
I assume itās unquestionably not worth it if you donāt plan to OC, but how are yāall feeling about the idea of paying the extra $140 for serious āat your own riskā functionality?
At this point, I imagine the vast majority of H2 bugs/manufacturing issues have been resolved. I would still opt for the Pro and set it up for OC after a successful run or two. I would guess the main reason the warranty gets voided is because an OC unit will need a bit more maintenance (such as gear lubrication) and users need to keep on top of that.
At worst, you can just wait a couple months before unlocking the performance. If it hasnāt failed by then, and judging by the longevity of their earlier products, itās a good bet it will perform perfectly fine for years with proper care.
It depends. Mostly, if want to spend the extra on a (slighter) better device or not or use the 140 to buy something else (for the Handy, like a good Onahole or Sleeves).
Overclock is great and I make good use of it, without overdoing it. I donāt any extreme speeds, but if a short section has more speed, itās nice the Handy 2 Pro in overlock mode can handle it. Itās nice qol feature I would say.
I think for most people the standard Handy 2 is good enough. The Pro is really for those, you like the most capable device and are willing to pay extra for it.
I donāt believe you can remove the battery - at least not without major surgery to the unit.
The teflon was removed because it didnāt improve things according to the Handy folks, so I wouldnāt consider that a negative for the Pro. I donāt use the battery, so thatās a non-issue for me. My Handy is desk mounted on a boom arm.
The major thing the Pro does is provide more power. If you are even somewhat girthy the Handy 1 would fail to move down to fully engulf your anatomy. This was especially true with the more snug fitting sleeves. Personally, I had to only use the TruGrip v2 sleeve - the widest opening - and still had issues. The Handy 2 Pro fully overclocked has enough torque to use with the v2 or v3 sleeve while being able to complete a full stroke. Strokes can get shortened due to the speed of the script. Overall the H2P overclocked is much more capable though.
FWIW, I have a second wave Kickstarter H2P and bought a second one retail for the March delivery window Iām waiting to arrive.
You can use the Handy 2 while plugged in. It will draw power directly from the charger instead of the battery when connected
Im having problems with my handy 2 pro charging. I hadnt needed to charge it since receiving it a month or so ago but now it just wont charge at all. This is on the latest firmware and the device does not indicate there is insufficient power from the charger.
Its a real shame as I like the device but now am going to have go through the hassle of support/returning it.
@mcchodderz Does it still work with only the power connector (electricity)? Or not working at all?
Very excited to recieve it in today + 1 month .
What do you use to mount the Handy 2 to a desk right now? Is the official Handy desk mount already compatible?
I cant say yet as it still has a small amount of battery left. I tried a certain 100w USB-C charger and still no dice so there is certainly a battery defect in some of the Pro models that were sold.
Yes, the standard desk mount is compatible. You donāt need the cup, just the mount.
They are also working on a new desk mount as well. I hope they bring it out soon.
Latest Handy discord announcement from today about overclocking for everyone with the H2P:
āOverclocking no longer voids the warranty; warnings have been updated to reflect that overclocking still carries riskā
@handyAlexander is it normal for OhDoki to be requesting videos of evidence of the charging issue? I find that unusual, especially for an adult toy device.
Yes, videos are the easiest way for us to debug and try to figure out the error source.
Wow..they really fucked up this new version it seems..the 1st one is awesome..i actually found a portable power bank that outputs enough power to use it wherever i want and that was a game changer..it was the overclock feature i initially that i wanted..but when i made my SR6 i realise that faster isnt always the best option when its got your junk in it lol. That stroker definately needs a few sessions of taming before you go hands off with it. Sad for those that basically got used as beta testers and also the ones that were pre sales but are still waiting for their devices.. Heard that a few people paid after the kickstarter finshed yet got their handy 2ās before the early bird option people. thats not on. Hopefully all the issues get iron out and they can enjoy what they signed up for..with maybe a few extra sleeves thrown in as an apology.
