Handycontrol only boots up as a background process

So recently my go-to scriptlaying software, Handycontrol, is failing to start. I can see it in the Task View(Windows+Tab) as a blank, black window, but in the task manager it’s only shown as a background process, and it doesn’t show up as a window, or in the task-bar. Any help whatsoever would be immensely appreciated. Even just a workaround that I have to go through every time I start the program, but I’d prefer not being directed towards other software, unless it’s nearly identical, user-experience wise, to Handycontrol.

I found a fix. It’s almost a complete fix for the problem, though two functionalities will be lost. Place everything except the scriptfolder folder and the resources folder, inside their own folder, after deleting the config file. You won’t be able to use the “Last scripts” or the “Script folder” functionalities, but you can simply open funscript files with Handycontrol, which is what I was already doing.

I recommend using software like ScriptPlayer Handyfeeling isn’t bad but I’ve had countless issues with it in the past, but have never had a single problem with script player.

I don’t use Handyfeeling. I use Handycontrol, different program. Scriptplayer has been a nightmare every single time I tried using it. It never connects well, it never links videos to scripts properly, the GUI is horrendous, I can never figure out quite how to operate it. Handycontrol shows a detailed view of the script, whereas Scriptplayer just shows a vague-ish heatmap.
