Gotcha. I just think of what can happen if there are no peers available anymore. I’ve run into so many torrent links over the years where I wanted to get something and there were no more peers available.
Thanks for claryfing that. No offense here, just your post didn’t sound very convincing.
Also kudos to all the people who filled almost every link to the scripts from the list
The difference is a single point of failure vs multiple. As long as one person somewhere is willing to seed, a torrent lives on. A site can die while there are still thousands of active users.
So in that case, why not just have them in both places? After all, considering that what we’re doing here is not exactly so popular yet that there is no risk of shortage or disappearance even with a torrent (I’ve seen it happen already with some launch and realtouch material), why not just have them in both places? If the site goes down, we have the torrents, and if the torrents become inactive and seeds disappear we will still have the site and be able to keep replenishing the torrents just in case the site goes down. Many of the scripts I’ve seen aren’t very large in size, many I’ve seen are only kb’s after all, and it would probably take a number of years before storage were to become a problem and that’s assuming there will ever be enough material pushed by the community to get to that point.
That’s my view too, but it seems that the mods here disagree. At the end of the day it’s their site, if they don’t want a backup of the old material sharing here then that’s their choice to make.
scripter = copyright owner even he/she post this script here or on RTS for free.
You can ask every scripter for his/her permission. Don’t forget scripting is an assfull of work and only 1% even say thank you.
Not entirely accurate. There’s no way I could have reached out to the hundreds of scripters, especially since a lot of them aren’t even active anymore.
You’re not wrong.
All the scripts in the archive are grouped by scripter and they can request to delete their archive at any time. I’m not very familiar with torrents, but I assume that scripters have much less control over their own content.
Legitimate point. If I get hit by a bus, nobody else could re-host this site elsewhere.
This website currently has daily backups, so as long as 1 other person has access to the files, they could rehost the website.
Thank you for clarifying. Edits made to previous post where needed.
No one got my permission for any of this, and I don’t care if they are my free scripts. However, I uploaded all those StasyQVR files to SexLikeReal awhile ago and took them down from RTS. I edited RTS just now to reflect that those scripts are found on SexLikeReal.
Also, it is a pain in the ass to have your files being downloaded from other posts for statistical purposes. I’m not able to track what people actually like and dislike if people are going to take and distribute scripts that they didn’t make themselves down other avenues.
You can’t blame me because you missed few scripts when purging all your posts on RTS. All you had to do was to just type the name of the video in the search bar. You would expect at least that from someone who wants to make a profit from those files
2D list for one person is a little too much (we are talking thousands of scripts), but seeing how motivated and helpful people were to fill all the links to the scripts I’m thinking of creating separate spreadsheet with a liitle different structure since there are multiple versions of the same 2D videos with different durations.
I’m thinking something like this:
- Studio name (if there is none just put nothing or maybe something like ‘amateur’, ‘cock hero’ for better sorting options)
- Performers
- Name of the scene
- Duration of the scene that matches the script
- Link to the creator’s post with script
- Link to the video matching script if there is any
I think this would meet most expectations when it comes to sorting options. Of course filling all the columns would be optional and probably in some cases impossible. Maybe with added conditional formatting to highlight missing cells for better visibility what’s missing if someone have more information?
That can work, but I think something like this can work as well. It’s basically your idea just made into a table.
Art Form | Format | Studio | Performers | Name | Runtime | Stepper | Video Link | Script Link |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
IRL | Cock Hero | jenapwns | Unknown | EDGE CHALLENGE: CONTROL | 00:37:14 | BRomes | No link found | No link found |
Ero-Anime | Scene | Nekomimi researcher | N/A | MYEcchi | 00:09:27 | Guy19 | No link found | No link found |
IRL | 2D Movie | Paramount Pictures | Brad Pitt et. al. | World War Z | 01:16:00 | RandomPerson6329 | No link found | No link found |
Music | Album | Alstroemeria Records | mikicco et. al. | IMAGINARY JOURNEY | 00:43:39 | Mr Pops Alot | No link found | No link found |
Edit: Here is a rough prototype of a script repository made in Google Sheets: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1drJ5GG5tKYnFZ6kSEsP8-lBN_iGyZhBDTv0vWdUp_tA/edit?usp=sharing
I already have a excel sheet with over 680 scripts from eroscripts and RTS. But only IRL, no HMS, Anime or something like that.
There are still 400 to 500 scripts on RTS that must take place in this list. The problem is finding the real name of the videos / actresses and new video links if the old ones not working anymore. 80% of the scripts are not tagged or not enough. Horrible work, but i found some nice scripts
I thinking about a pornstar index here and a early version of my idea is online yet. But atm the character limits on posts slow down the whole thing.
heads up, I just extracted this conversation into a separate topic because it seemed off topic from the original post about a list of vr scripts
I’m down to have a community run database/spreadsheet of this. If needed, you could only give edit permission to trusted users. For example, realcumber is already using this with an embedded google sheet here https://discuss.eroscripts.com/t/rs-slr-works-in-progress-2d-vr-daily-updated/3700
I’ve been talking to @mADsCRIPTS about something similar, but if you have enough community volunteers, using a google sheet instead of your own website would be easiest.
wow, great list! i like that you added the scripter to your table.
I like the idea of building a community google spreedsheet. But we should use different spreedsheets for
- IRL
- Drawn and Computer Generated
- Beat
There are too much scripts outta there and different content for the structure. But what I think we need for every list:
- DATE
- URL_EROSCRIPTS
- URL_RTS
- URL_PAID-VIDEO
- URL_FREE-VIDEO
- ACTRESS / ACTOR
- PORNSTAR_TYPE (1 = Famous 1, 2 = NonProfessionals (Online only), 3 = Amateurs/Unknown/Not really famous 0) I enter this data for a better structure for a possible website structure.
- TITLE
- RUNTIME_VIDEO
- STUDIO
- SCRIPT_TYPE (free, paid)
- SCRIPTER
- TAGS
VR STEP-FAMILY BLOWJOB HANDJOB FOOTJOB VAGINAL ANAL POV CREAMPIE AMATEUR PORNHUB TITFUCK DILDO SOLO-FEMALE COSPLAY JOI HANDY LAUNCH OSR TRANS GAY HENTAI PMV COCKHERO HMV CGI CARTOON FURRY FAP-HERO SFM ANIMATION BDSM CLOTHES-ON LESBIAN 8K LATEX PATREON BUNNYWALKER MULTI-AXIS SOLO-MALE SOLO-TRANS JAV JAV-VR
Maybe:
- RELEASE_DATE
To respect the scripter and their choice to take a script offline, we shouldn’t use a direct link to the script. A link to the post on eroscripts or RTS is much better.
Completely agree, seeing as a mixed list can get big very quickly and it’ll take more time loading one big sheet than 4 or 5 smaller sheets, although clumping up drawn and 3DCG may not be the best idea. The beat section would get very big as you got cock heros (IRL and drawn ones), PMVs, ero-audio, songs which are just scripted with no video, and more.
Tags are a pain and a half to maintain in a list as big as this. Tags get added and removed from posts, some tags that are desperately needed are missing (ie: paid-video, sfw, youtube, direct-dl, audio-only), some are redundant (like why is the “bunnywalker” tag still here? we already set that we have the studio in the title), they need to be updated with the posts and have them be consistent to all the other ones as well, and how are we even going to put the tags on the sheet?
Also, what is the difference between DATE and RELEASE_DATE, shouldn’t that be the same thing?
Here is an example table based off your idea
Table
Didn’t add the tags because I ran out of space, again.
Date | ES URL | Media URL | Performers (Type) | Title | Runtime | Studio | Scripter | Script Type | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
2020.11.08 | N/A | N/A | Chase Elliot (1); Joey Logano (1); Brad Keselowski (1); et. al. | 2020 Season Finale 500 | 2:47:00 | NASCAR | RacingFan4129 | Free |
Looks cleaner for sure, but I’m thinking of having it be Title | Studio | Actors since looks better that way
I’m not sure I totally buy that these should be different spreadsheets. Sheets has very good filtering functionality, so it might be easiest for every to keep it all in one place.
Or at the very least, put them on different pages of the same spreadsheet instead of separate spreadsheet files.
