Is there a way to add a key binding to a time stamp in a video, or a tag that has been created?
There is a keybinding to seek to the next or previous tag in the video, but not for a specific tag.
Anybody else having trouble playing the latest vrspy videos? they play fine for like 3 secs, and then it stutters like crazy for me (quest 2). Non of the other videos seem to have the issues, file size or resolution maybe?
Usually when videos start stuttering itās because of the encoding. Iāve encountered videos in both 6K-8K encoded with h264. The h264 format is only good up to 4K unless you have a powerhouse of a CPU since decoding is all done by the CPU. The h265 format, also called HEVC, make use of your GPU so it supports higher resolutions like 8K. There are newer formats like AV1 too, but h264 and h265 are probably the most commonly used.
Start checking how troublesome videos are encoded. You can do that online (javascript based and nothing is uploaded anywhere) MediaInfoOnline - MediaInfo in your browser
The online version is a bit primitive and each video file has different properties. Usually you can look for the property Writing Library. It should mention either h264 or h265. If it isnāt there, see if you find HEVC, h264, h265 in some other property e.g., the Format property.
If it is a 5K-8K video file encoded as h264 then try re-encode it as h265. I often use HandBrake to re-encode videos. Itās free / open source.
yeah that makes sense,it is mostly 8k videos.
Edit: should be noted that im using the app natively on the quest 2, streaming my files locally through xbvr. perhaps using the desktop version should help.
I am having some trouble connecting multi fun player to heresphere. I was trying to follow this guide and I got some inconsistent results (connection was refused dozens of times, and when it does work, I can only get the single axis loaded. I am using an OSR2+ and a quest 3. Is there an updated guide for playing multi axis scripts via heresphere with multi fun player connected to an OSR2+?
hello! will there ever be support for the Lovense Gush 2?
New update (v0.11.11) was just released that adds experimental support for Lovense devices. I canāt verify that the Gush 2 works, but if you want to give it a test and report back, Iād appreciate it.
HereSphere update v0.11.11 is now available for Meta Quest devices on the Meta App Store RC channel and itch.io. This update adds support for more bluetooth synchronized peripheral devices.
- Bluetooth mode for the new Kiiroo Keon Wifi model now works. Power on the device, make sure itās in bluetooth pairing mode (blinking blue lights), then press the āScan Bluetooth Devicesā button in the HereSphere synchronized peripherals menu.
- Bluetooth mode for Kiiroo Powershot added.
- Bluetooth mode for Lovense devices added. This is still experimental. Most vibration devices should work. The Solace Pro positional control might work, though it hasnāt been tested. If you have a Lovense device, Iād appreciate feedback on whether this feature works.
nice!
Regarding Lovense devices, I tested a Diamo and it exhibited a similar behaviour than in multifunplayer with āauto-homeā turned OFF (the device vibrates constantly). Is there a toggle somewhere Iām missing?
Iāll test out a gush 2 when I get the chance.
Keep up the good work, love that device support is being expanded ![]()
HereSphere currently converts position to vibration strength, with position of 0 converting to max vibration strength, and position of 100 converting to zero vibration strength. You can adjust the range in the synchronized peripherals setting (make sure to enable the toggle). I probably need to add some code to turn off the vibration when opening a video that doesnāt contain a script. You can kind of work around it by enabling the manual oscillation mode with range set from min 1 to max 1.
Can you look into adding support for the Powerblow via bluetooth?
Yeah, I was planning to add it in a future update, after I add support for running multiple bluetooth devices at the same time, since I think most ppl use the powerblow at the same time as the keon. How should the app handle scripts with the powerblow, though? Like should the suction level correspond to the position of the stroke, or should there be an option to have the suction activate depending on the direction of the stroke instead?
I believe on the DEOVR player the suction is on the up stroke and then it does short and quick suction pulses during the faster strokes. Also the suction intensity is regulated with the same function as the adjustment for the stroke lengh.
OMG OMG OMG OMG.
Just created an account for that. Was desperated to have support one day of the Solace Pro.
I actually make it work with multiplayerfun + deovr + intliface/buttplug.io but itās quite heavy setup ⦠Using only heresphere would be a relief !
Just tried 0.11.11 and well ⦠itās a good start =).
Minor : * there is often the warning of no wifi key when trying to scan bluetooth device, when it does not matter at all for this device (or at least, its a bit confusing).
- bluetooth sync is working (itās not obvious when connection occurs though, intliface makes a small solace movement, I thought it was hardcoded in the device itself to be honnest to indicate itās connected but looking at heresphere not doing it, maybe itās just a intliface feature)
Less minor :
I downloaded a video and script with same name and try making all this work (not a regular heresphere user here as of now) and it is not bad but not quite usable in this state, Iām however impressed for a first blind software version.
- first, the device moves very very little, always the same length, maybe the minimum one ?, it never reaches 10% of all the length it could (and i canāt increase the max range above 1 in parameters, decreasing it changes nothing).
- stroking speed changes seems ok, I didnāt test it much but it seems to me to be correctly in sync with funscript and video.
- some annoying behavior is that the devices keep stroking when pausing the video, and it keeps also stroking when moving video from an active timestamp (green heatmap) to in inactive one (black heatmap), sometimes, I canāt stop it at all and I end by disconnecting it from the sync parameter menu.
So well, there is probably some fine tuning to do (and would be good to have other feedbacks to be sure itās not my setup causing this) but for a first dry run I am quite impress, and I gain a lot of interest of Heresphere developement today =).
Iāll be an happy tester if needed.
Have a nice day !
Regards.
I am looking at getting a Samsung Galaxy XR when it (hopefully) gets a EU release next year. I am however wondering about the compatibility between Heresphere and the new Android XR OS. Is it possible to sideload (or eventually dl in Google store) Heresphere and get it running? Will it still work smoothly with peripherals like handy?
I understand that this OS is very new, @HereSphere , but I would just like to know what the status is right now and if compatibility is something you will be working on.
HereSphere currently doesnāt work with the Samsung Galaxy XR, but Iāll eventually port it over after Unreal Engine adds support for Android XR. Maybe sometime next year.
There is not really the need for a port. You can run Heresphere on the PC and connect with Virtual Desktop. The only thing youll miss is passthrough I dont care about but you will have your graphics card decode.
Very nice, thanks for the info!
I prefer copying and playing videos from local storage, that way I donāt have to create a network at home or set up a wifi ![]()
Update v0.11.12 should work the Solace Pro. The movement synchronization isnāt the best, but itās better than nothing. Iāll try improving it when I have time.
