I want to create a mega compilation of the best scripts from the community - suggest videos / scripts

This might sound tedious, but I did some theory crafting. Have you considered going into each file you’re using and trimming away all the unused script? If you do that you could then change the length of each script to the same length as the final video you’re producing. Finally you could insert blank spots until the the point where you want each script to move onto the next one or just move that portion of the script to the correct time. Since you can’t copy past it the way you’re trying to if you did this you’d have the correct timestamps for all your position data. Finally you could save each one as a script and then go in and copy past the text data from each one in sequence. Just put them in-between the correct and the script should work as you want I believe.

This is actually not a bad idea. Since I have the timestamps, I could just remove the parts in between I don’t need like you said. Then just load the cut script in and then just copy the part I need in.

It is something, that takes some time, but it’s not as bad, as having to search for the right part in the whole script.

I will definitely try this out.

Thank you very much for that idea!

Unfortunately I can’t help you but I have to tell you that I think your videos are great.

I don’t like pmv ( I can’t stand this kind of music ) and I never tried one of your “best of” before. I downloaded this one because I thought the concept was cool and I was amazed by the quality of the editing. I’m sad that my english is too bad to explain all the good I think about yours videos

I wish I was as good as you about editing I would love to do a best of of my scripts.

Keep up the good work

Thank you very much for the compliment
Happy to hear, you liked the video.

I also often hate the music in most pmvs. I don’t use the standard hardbass / edm / techno whatever kind of music. I am using something of synthwave / cyperpunk kind of music. Even though this music is nothing I hear normally, but I think it fits pretty good for pmvs.

To be honest I am not that happy with the whole editing. Compared to what other people can create for a pmv, my videos are just not as good. I hope I can improve by time.

The learning curve might be intimidating, but it’s actually not that hard. You can do some basic stuff pretty easy. I am using Davinci Resolve it’s free. I watched some tutorials on YouTube and then just started editing. Later on you can start watching more advance tutorials and learn even more. Give it try, it’s very fun.

Thank you again for the kind words. Keeps me motivating doing this

I know im a week late and a dollar short but you can copy and paste parts of a script like you wanted using Razers Joyfunscripter. With that you can select a start point in a script and an end point. It then highlights all the points in netween and you can copy them to your clipboard.

From what I remember Razer was fine with anyone using their program for non commercial purposes.

Thank you very much for that tip. I will download JFS and see, if I can make it work. That would be the best and easiest method by far, if this works.

I’m really looking forward to seeing how this turns out!

Please tell me it actually got made, would make the whole year ( ideally the action version ) :raised_hands:
