Kiiroo Keon Repairability

I just broke my Keon and opened it to see what is broken.

To my suprise no plastic part is broken, the coupler for the motor to the threaded rod tore (I assume due to material fatigue).

And I have to say, it is wonderfully repairable.
Anyone who did the power mod can easily replace it.

Additional details:

The damage was announcing itself by some rattling (but it still worked then)
Also I assume the PowerBlow added a lot of strain due to the vacuum

The coupler in question is a D19L25 3mm to 8mm

These are not in the default range for 3D Printers so they are a little bit harder to get

Hi, there. Thank you for posting this. You’ve given me the courage to repair my own Keon, as I think it’s having the same problem. I have the outer case off and it looks like I have more screws to remove before I can get at that rod. Do you know, perchance, what types of screws these are? I thought they were hex/Allen, but I can’t get any of my imperial or metric ones to fit. My eyes aren’t the best. Anyway, thanks again!

EDIT: I figured out they are Torx T10s, and not all of them need to be removed. Just the ones holding on the circuit board and 4-6 near the bottom of the device.

In my case, the coupler was undamaged and the coupler had simply become separated from the threaded rod. I had ordered a new coupler in anticipation of replacing mine, and it came with an Allen key to tighten the set screws, which hold the threaded rod and coupler together. So, I just moved the rod back into place and tightened the set screws up, and put everything back together. It’s working fine so far!
