More Great news is that many of the past strokers and accessories will work with the new Keon 2!
If you are looking for more items to bundle together Kiiroo has tons of new strokers and accessories - here are some of my personal favorite recommendations:
No Twist feature yet - I wouldn’t write off any potential future add on device though
The Keon has built itself to be a very modular device with addons like the suctioning PowerBlow, and the vibrating PowerShot
If you have the SR6 you already have an excellent high fidelity device but the main only downside of the SR6 is its fixed mounted requirement which is a bit limiting for those that like portability and being able to use their toy in bed/standing/etc.
With the Keon you can quickly pop it in your lap anytime anywhere no wires
I would still consider this newest Keon 2 if you also don’t have very quiet motors on your OSR2/SR6 - I cant use mine at all with anyone around whereas with the Keon I could use it at full speed with much less concern
I was waiting for the SLR Melody to replace my K1, but the fact that it’s taking so long to arrive (and the lack of information) has made me reconsider my choice now
I’ve asked about it and hopefully I can get you back a response on the noise level, but the Keon is already very quiet imo and this one is supposed to be even quieter
(I’ll report back as well as soon as I receive my Keon 2)
Nothing wrong with getting both lol - they are both great next gen devices with different use cases
While these are the most important stats for me as i prefer intensive scripts, I have no idea if the Keon 2 will be able to run consistently with 450-500 average speed scripts or if finisher mode is going to be limited. Having wall power is a huge boost over the Keon 1. If i had the budget i probably would as ive been debating a handy 2 for my scripts or even an OSR2
The handy 2 stats are wrong. I don’t blame you since they’re on the official site but the handy 2 pro over clocked goes up to 1200 mmps full stroke and 1600 mmps max speed.
It can even go faster but doing that risks damaging the handy itself.
I love my Keon, but not really seeing a reason here to upgrade to the Keon 2 unless mine breaks. Felt the same way about the handy vs the handy 2. If they’d have added twist I would have gotten both on pre-order. Without it, there’s not much reason to upgrade. I use my handy about 75% of the time and my Keon about 25% of the time. The handy is a bit easier to clean up IMO. But prefer the sleeves (I have both fleshlight and kiiro feelstars) when wanting more of a vaginal sex experience.
I’ve also asked Kiiroo direct for any info in regards to the above - hope to have some clearer answers for you before launch date
Thats understandable - the main things I wished the Keon 1 improved upon area now improved for Keon 2 (increased stroke length and being able to use while charging in case battery runs out) so I am very much looking forward to this next iteration
One of the most underrated pro’s of the Keon, in my opinion, is the initial lube up setup
With the Handy you need to lube up, hope to stay hard, while strapping the velcro in place, hoping you dont shrink while you get it just right (its still a great experience once you get going ofc)
With the Keon you can just insert yourself inside a lubed up full sleeve stroker, place the Keon device over it, and twist lock in perfect place, and jump right into a script (no real worries about staying hard at the onset)
Being able to use mouth sleeves are a huge pro also that you cant really use with the Handy
For example I never thought I would enjoy this one as much I do but the new split tongue sleeve is in my top 3 all time sleeves out of the 50+ I own) - you can feel tongue action intensely all the way right down to your balls simulating a ball licking sensation which feels amazing and is almost always neglected by every other sleeve - highly recommended! → Leigh Raven Mouth Stroker | FeelStars by Kiiroo – Kiiroo®
Here are some responses back from Kiiroo in regards to all of your inquiries so far:
@solarmus - “Noise levels will vary depending on speed and intensity settings. At lower settings, Keon 2 runs quieter than Keon 1. At a higher intensity, noise levels may be comparable. Overall, the experience will feel noticeably more refined.”
@Boilo - "Yes, Keon 2 will be able to run consistently at this speed. Finisher mode is the maximum speed the keon will be able to run at. We are still refining and improving the hardware, but you can look forward to between 680 and 780 mm/s. "
@frumpi - “The Bluetooth protocol is not the same as the Keon 1; we completely redid the firmware from scratch and introduced new protocols. We will make this public to the community as soon as the code is frozen. We estimate this to be around the end of June, with the target for shipping of the first units going out at the end of July.”
Being an open design this time should stop it from becoming an air pump and sucking skin up the side of the chamber like Keon1 did. Can’t tell how easy or hard that design will be to make hands-free (in bed where I tend to use these things).
Also can’t tell from the pictures how big the spacing is as to if it will rub sleeves up the side and melt them like the Keon1 did.
I’m not the biggest fan of the mount for non-kiiroo sleeves being a single strap - hard to say how well it will actually hold things, but at least it would take the actual fleshlight case.
They say on the website it uses a new communication protocol that starts with Bluetooth for a handshake then switches to WiFi for actual data transfer for a best of both worlds experience. Hard to say if it will be good - Kiiroo’s past support for such things has been limited and it will probably be incompatible with all third party software unless the developers are willing to implement an entirely new (and probably poorly explained or even kept secret) communication protocol.
I was set to laugh at the description they had of the new 95mm (3.7") stroke length as finally going all the way from base to tip, but I think they must have edited that out now as I can’t find it any-more.
5 strokes a second. I’m wondering if that is full strokes or shortened ones. Handy1 claimed 10 but they were something like 40% strokes when you looked into it. Might mean a 100ms command limit.
I felt the above answers still didn’t really answer if the max speed given is for all use or just in “finisher mode”.
The cost isn’t bad at all. If the rest of it turns out to be good and easy to use I could see it being reasonably successful, but there are so many unknowns right now.
I wonder what the actual stroke length is? It says 9.5 cm. The Handy has about the same stroke length, if you remove the dead zone, which is never used.
Did you have this issue with the Keon 1 using Kiiroo strokers and sleeves or did this only happen to you when using fleshlights/aftermarket sleeves?
How are you using your toys in bed currently?
Kiiroo is working on a new bed pillow handsfree support - I hope its a simpler donut style cushion that you just pop the Keon easily in and out of (Currently I just use a memory foam neck cushion that works really nicely in bed handsfree)
Strap is pretty thick so should hold non-Kiiroo sleeves and cases pretty well
This one’s hard to say but this newer type BT to Wifi connection method does seem to be the new standard
maybe just another ‘Mandela effect’ lol
I assume shortened as well as I dont think any commercial toy would be able to do 5 full length strokes per second (I would imagine it could be pretty dangerous without any type of safety limiter)
If it can go that max speed in ‘finisher mode’ then I dont see why it wouldn’t be able to reach the same during all other use
Agreed - hopefully in July/August we should have more real world use feedback once the device starts shipping
Regarding hands-free use: There needs to be a good mounting option to connect the keon to something like a magic arm. The - IMHO ridiculously overpriced - table clamp seems to have a reach of a few cm, which is unusable if you want to attach the keon to a wall next to your bed or something like that.
I have 3d-printed a two part thing that fits into the hole in the back of the keon and provides a standard 1/4" thread to attach it to some camera/light mounting gear from manfrotto. That has served me quite well: I can freely position the keon in quite a range at different angles. I also have a spacer ring that positions the stroker lower than default, so that the keon can hover over my lap, while the stroker still can reach all the way down.
Right now the product page for the table clamp seems to show two different product variants, not sure if there has been an overhaul of the clamp. Ditch the table clamp and the two ball joints, and replace the thing screwed (?) into the keon-holder with something that allows for mounting 1/4" or 3/8" accessories, maybe provide an adapter plate for a vesa mount. At the same or maybe slightly higher price as the neck strap we’d have a very flexible way for tinkerers to mount the keon.
Both the kiiroo sleeve that came with the Keon and fleshlight sleeves had the same problems - the sleeve would just expand until it was rubbing the walls of the keon all the way around. It was marginally worse with the fleshlight sleeve. Then again even after cutting a bunch of material out of the kiiroo sleeve it still felt too small to want to use it.
I printed up a lipped cap (and then extended it further and printed that) but it never entirely solved the problem - it mostly stopped the direct rubbing but the gap around the side was still too small for the amount of air that needed to move in and out and it still acted like an air pump. Even without rubbing the sleeves would still end up melting slightly because of the heat from the motor in the side wall a few millimetres away.
Right now I am just holding onto a handy 2 Pro for dear life . I really need to engage a third party printing service to make me one of the hands-free belt options. Before that I was just propping my launch against the duvet with a pillow in it and thanks to the bulk and weight of the thing it pretty much worked hands-free without assistance (a few fingers resting on the top lip at most)
With the third party firmware the Launch probably does or at least gets close and the Handy 2 Pro in it’s higher modes probably does a bit more than that. (1600 mms being quite the thing)
I don’t personally need it to go that hard, but what the command limit ends up being will have a huge impact on how subtle and responsive it is when running more complicated scripts - The handy1 is almost certainly under 50ms in that respect (10 strokes per second requiring 20 movements, which in turn means 50ms turnabouts) The Keon1 was always quite obviously worse than the handy1 in this respect so I estimate it was probably 100ms or about there. (but better than the Launch running stock firmware with its painful 150ms command limit)
I just find it a little odd that they repeatedly say max speed xxx(finisher mode) when they could have just stated the max speed. I may be a little cynical when it comes to companies covering themselves like that.
Very good points - standard 1/4" thread should be added in their next handsfree mount iteration
I’ve passed on your important feedback direct to Kiiroo in hopes they can make a future improvement
I couldn’t see any variant of the current handsfree mount you mention on the site though? (maybe the same mount just upside down?)
Odd that you also had that issue with the stock Kiiroo sleeves as I personally have not - I’ve heard of some issues with certain fleshlight sleeves in the past though
Kiiroo did come out with a fleshlight sleeve adapter cap (which I assume is probably similar to what you ended up printing)
I wish I had a remaining working launch toy so I could have tried that special firmware update - I really miss that toy, it was such a good device (minus their self destructing bluetooth lol)
Yes, command limit is the most important so strokes are played as scripted in sync and not skipped/late
By all measures the Keon should best Keon 1 and the launch significantly in that regard and hopefully rival the Handy 2 pro (without needing to hold onto it ‘for dear life’ )
