Looking for Estim advice. *updated* New Experiences

My Flux came in a couple days early, and I was very excited about that. I unboxed it all, plugged it in to charge, which did display the battery charging on screen. After a while I followed the instructions to update it with the program they have on the site, but ever since I tried, and it failed to update, it won’t turn on. Even just plugging it into the USB port to charge gets the green light glowing inside it, but no display now.

Am I royally fucked now, and have to contact them/send it back and everything, wasting potentially weeks? After already waiting and being excited about this? I haven’t gotten to try anything at all yet. Not even turn it on and go through the menus…

Help please!

Someone on the reddit has mentioned a reset button through a pinhole on the bottom. I do not know if it would help, which hole it is of the 8 there, or if it would void the warranty, so I have not touched it. I have sent an email to support for now, but I am fuming here. If you have any input on this let me know- This was supposed to be my intro to Estim, and I was to be trying this out pretty much immediately but here we are.

Per the user manual it should be the one I circled. Doing a factory reset should not affect the warranty.

You seem to be correct on the hole, but presumably it needs to actually turn on to work. No luck, the green light just turns off immediately inside it and nothing changes.

Do you have a compatible alternate power supply ? - often the first component to go.

I have never tried Estim, this was the first unit I was supposed to try and I am getting wrecked atm. :frowning:

Definitely frustrating - from previous comments sounds like you are using removable rechargeables ? - if so might be worth trying some dry cells in case the charging circuitry is the issue - although, if it started misbehaving after a failed firmware update… does sound like you need the supplier to fix. Hopefully resolved soon - would like to hear your assessment of it.

It is the Electrastim Flux, which has a rechargable battery built in, so no need for external support. And yeah, it’s pretty messed up from the looks of it. Unless they have a program to run, that can rewrite all the code on the system just by being plugged into the USB and running it, it is likely I need to ship it back and get a refund for another order/them sending a new one in general. Which is miserable, because email customer support can take weeks from what I have heard in the past about support for other products.

Electrastim has responded to my Email, and it looks like a replacement will be sent as I send the other back. Fast response, as it seems they did so first thing in the morning for the UK. Here’s hoping I can try things out by the weekend or early next week.

I’ve heard the first HFO is the hardest to achieve with Estim, but doing so is kind of like opening the door for your mind to allow it. As such, I’ll try to abstain until then- a rare prospect coming from me, since I’ll probably still watch videos. Gonna be rough.

Kinda not true, if you get the right kind of Bluetooth dongle you can connect it easy and control it pretty well using XToys.

However, you are correct in that it lacks Buttplug.io / Intiface support despite the device having open documentation for someone to develop that, which is how XToys supports it in the first place. Given how much people like to rag on the device (for mostly good reason) I doubt anyone will do the work though.

Thanks for the clarification. I don’t use XToys, so that’s why I thought it was unsupported on PC. Thanks for clarifying for anyone who doesn’t mind using XToys.

As someone trying to get into Estim to begin with, I see Xtoys as very tempting. Able to have others remote control your devices, taking hands-free to a whole new level! I suppose it depends on personal preferences and circumstances like relationships in ones own life though.

enjoy your journey and thank you for taking the time to share it with us. I hope that others will be encouraged to ask questions and receive the information you did. (For me I am a happy 2B owner, dont have the time or ability to build a DIY box…and if you ever feel like going the route of adding poppers to your play…well welcome to the addiction xD )

The most important advice I can give you is to start slow and dont push too hard and enjoy every second of it. (but once you have a handle on how it all works…conductive rubber bands and tens pads are awesome and the only boundaries are your own creativity.)

and if you are looking for estim vids (digitalparkinglot, numberonefan, rillo, supermassive) are all quality names to know…

Customer support has just sent me tracking information for my replacement device this morning, so hopefully early next week it will be in.

Strictly against any forms of drug use personally, even if short lived in effect. I’ve heard they are quite common in this field of enjoyment, but I won’t be getting into them.

Ya, will be taking things slow, as I’ve never done this kind of thing before. I ordered some of the conductive rubber loops and some gel with the same order. Tens pads are just the usual pads that come with the devices yes?

There are diffirent types though, poppers are generaly quite extreme on that part. But there are also a few that are more about just improving blood flow (viagra being most known). And there are a lot of diffirent versions here (including some very weak ones), and you can with some brands also adjust the dose of these.
Those light ones can on that for someone who uses heavier stuff have no effect at all, while for someone new into those can give quite a big result (partialy also because of placebo effect).

But yeah, safety regulations here can be dodgy, and the US is on that just plain horrible (they prefer company profits over human health). The EU is a lot more strict on this, and in most cases apply a lot more strict limits.

However, a few simple things that can work that do not involve drugs are things that are indirect. For example:

  • A large gag can make breathing harder (and this makes it more intense).
  • You can blind yourself, so the focus becomes more on your senses.
  • lesser self bondage (the version in which you can always release yourself). The additional time to unwrap yourself (for example because the knot you made takes time to unwrap) can be enough to give the idea that you cant act quickly on whatever you feel (and this sensation can make you come faster).
    • There are also locks that work with a timer. If using these, make sure its a version that when the battery is empty it unlocks (test for this feature before using!)!
    • You can also use this just to force a certain position, some positions allow better relaxing.
  • You can even work with pain, in which certain loss of concentration will hurt/irritate you, and the tiredness this causes can also aid.
  • You can do things with clothing. Erotic clothing (even for men) can add to the sensation. And this can simply be because you arent used to wearing it (there is a reason you often see estim combined with latex). Popular materials or styles are latex/rubber, leather, spandex (least extreme), female clothing (gives a sissy effect)
    • A reason why some of these things work, even though they arent that extreme is the fear of being seen in it. This sense of fear is what can cause you to come faster (Its for exmaple why the first time when having sex with someone else you come early, purely because you feared of doing bad).

Experimenting here can be done safely, and often even be combined. And variety can also keep the fun in it.

As of this point in my life I do not need to mix and match extremes for release, but thanks for the tips haha. You are right in the fact that when I look at Xtoys sessions briefly, sometimes you see cameras hooked up and they are into all of that stuff at once.

So to recap, it is the Electrastim Flux. My original order broke when trying to update it immediately after getting it, but it comes fully updated and seemed to mess up as a result, so I waited for a new one, which came today.

I set up some videos to watch- Eva Elfie, my favorite, and after a couple videos, I set up the electrodes. Started with a rubber loop below the glands, and a pad on the perineum, on continuous mode. The first few levels I didn’t notice anything, as there ARE 99 of them with the Flux. At around 8-10 it started being more noticeable, and to describe it, it really is like a thousand pins basically pushing outwards from the center of the shaft and a more direct sensation at the pad site. Surprisingly this didn’t exactly feel bad, but not pleasurable.

After trying the different modes and electrode positions, as well as seeing how high I could go and how that feels, I found that I am not a big fan of the electrodes near the glands, and moved the loop to the base of the shaft, keeping the perineum pad in place for these sessions, of which there were two. I did set up dual channels with 4 electrodes for about an hour earlier in the day, alternating the currents. I preferred the penetrate alternating mode, which seems to reach a little deeper in how the frequency is dispersed. Channel B was just mid a mid-shaft loop and pad on the balls, which the pad didn’t seem to give any real sensation there.

I could not get anywhere near an HFO during the first session that ended up moving to the dual channel setup, and the second session where I just use Channel A and played games for an hour. I had to use my hands to stroke the top half of my junk both times for release, but I did notice that it took a lot more to do so than normal while stimming. Probably because the sensation was mildly numbing/taking over a lot of what I would normally have felt, as well as how tense it made my junk; full-mast.

So it wasn’t a bad experience either time, though even after release it feels like I didn’t really come at all. It also didn’t feel as intense either time as doing so without stimming. I suspect it is largely because of how unfamiliar the sensations are, that my mind is kind of distracted processing both sensations at once instead of relaxing, though there was a bit of overlapping sensations during climax for pleasure.

I suspect an anal electrode hitting the prostate would change things quite a lot. Despite not liking back-door toys, a deeper sensation down there felt like the right idea, That said it’s more money I don’t feel like spending for now. Will continue trying out the device and check out the audio files side of things eventually, but as of yet it’s not the biggest thing for me.

Welcome to my world

Hope you make progress with it. It may encourage me to try my 2B with a little more patience this time.

Sat down for another session for the last hour, single channel.

Tried pads, and they seemed clunky and low-impact today. Switched to loops. One around my base/behind balls, and another near the head. Only used gel on the top half and glands. It was toe curling and very pleasurable, eventually leading to an easy first HFO while watching videos.

I was using the Flux’s Penetrating mode so it felt deeper/more encompassing each buzz. I was increasing and decreasing based on the action on screen. It was only a matter of time, this setup was perfect for me I guess. Crossed my feat with a cup/lid between the thighs to prevent a mess and just sat back, only using a hand for the power control.

It surprised me really, that this could actually be pleasurable, as the first experience didn’t show much promise. After that first HFO, I changed the power down and up here and there and it felt like I could go again any time. Given more time I probably would have but I have stuff to do. I’d say give your system another try. Just gotta find the right setup maybe, like I just did.

Thank you for sharing your e-stim journey with us. I’ve been interested in this topic for a long time so I really appreciate hearing a first-timer’s account. First I would like to ask, have you continued stimming, and do you have any more updates you could share with us?

What made such a dramatic difference between your first and second experience? From what I can tell, the only change you made with your device was switching from the pad at the perineum to a loop around the base behind the balls. Was this all it took to go from underwhelming to HFO?

I have a few questions, open for anyone to answer, that I think are still relevant to this thread. First of all I’m not interested in putting anything inside me so keep that in mind for each of these.

  1. For those of you that own interactive stroking devices, how does the e-stim experience compare? Can a script with an e-stim device feel like getting sucked and stroked liked a Launch, Keon, or Handy or is it more like a vibrator? Do you have a strong preference for one device over the other? Do you still use both?

  2. Using cock loop electrodes around the base behind and in front of the balls (maybe a pad somewhere?), can you use a Handy while stimming? I would be interested in not just using the same funscript, but maybe also just using patterns at the same time.

  3. Do you need an erection for stimming? Keep in mind I would be using loops and pads without insertables. Related to this, OP mentions feeling like they could go again after their first HFO experience. Is this a realistic possibility with e-stim? Sometimes after I use my Handy, I still feel aroused. However, I don’t bother pursuing another round because I don’t want to get disappointed and frustrated if the gap between mental arousal and physical arousal becomes too great.

  4. I’m thinking about building Tronic’s Midstim device. If I know for certain that I’m going to do that, is there any value in also getting one of those lower end boxes for just playing patterns? It seems like even the cheapest ones I would consider are still as much or more than the DIY Midstim, but maybe there’s a portability or ease of use factor that makes one a worthy addition to the kit? If I end up still just using my Handy, maybe one of those simpler pre-built boxes are easier to use for just warming up?

  5. @Rukkert suggests building the Midtsim device and later mentions buying this amplifier, Pyle Bluetooth Mini Blue Series Home Audio Amplifier. The Midstim parts list already includes an amplifier so do I need the Pyle amplifier in addition to the amplifier in the Midstim parts list?

  6. The Midstim parts list includes multiple options for the amplifier, power supply, and audio line transformer. For the purpose of e-stim, do the differences in any of these options matter? Should I just buy whichever ones listed that I can find and are the cheapest? At this point I’m just looking to click the link, click pay, and be done with it lol.

I apologize if these questions are dumb, obvious, or have already been answered. I’ve just been trying to take the leap into this for many years now.
