Hi everyone. I already have a Handy but I have heard so many great things about SyncBot. I don’t have a VR headset and I think VR porn would be amazing.
With that said, I can only afford one with my tax money next year. Which should I get?
I would go for the Meta Quest 3.
I don’t have a SyncBot. The SyncBot is expensive.
Some people were given them for review - I would wait until there are more reviews from people who have actually bought them and see how they are getting on 3-6 months in.
If you have the Handy you could mix things up by trying new sleeves, lubes and mounts . I modified the stock sleeve and got great results (I cut the end off and trimmed back the nodules so it was less intense). I use a hands free mount.

Quest 3. You can do more with VR than just porn, so you can try to explore the realm of VR and see if you like it.
Just the syncbot is just a sex toy, nothing else.
Especially since you can only afford 1 thing for who knows how long, might as well get your money worth in something that can be more.

As someone who is active in the Syncbot Community, there is no other pleasureable experience in this life that even comes close to what the Syncbot can do. It blows the handy out of the water. That being said, if you don’t have VR and get to have VR + the Handy, the do that, but if you have a VR and can get Synbot…Legendary Status.

Get the Quest 3. SyncBot is more work than fun and well VR will blow your mind. With SyncBot you will be an unpaid tester too lol.

I paid my own syncbot. I personally think its great. Lots of pros but also lotsof cons. Its not perfect. In my opinion, vr is a better investment. I love my syncbot but theres a bit more work to study and kinda change scripts to make it better. Like the syncbot feels better inverted. Thats a lot of testing before finding out what works best. The syncbot makes me tear up when it comes to bj, slow strokes. The suction is insane. Everytime i pull out, it feels like im pulling excalibur. Its stuck there. Anyway tldr, if you dont have the patience to wait for updates and to tinker, syncbot is not for you and vr is a better instant quality of life improvement that will enhance your experience.

Can you please elaborate on how it’s more work than fun? Because The Handy takes infinitely more time to adjust and setup and use than the Synbot.

Like many others, I use a Stanley Multi Angle hobby vice - I fit it to a desk for a standing position or to an IKEA besta stool for a sitting position. If lying down is your thing you can put the stool upside down and attach the vice to one of the stools legs.
I’d say get the vr headset first, you will be amazed getting into vr porn, that’s already truly something with the handy with all the good scripts available
Syncbot has big potential with future custom scripts,
feels different than the handy though,
sometimes like a robot torturing you but in a good way, have to play with some settings,
syncbot can be the crazy cyborg attached to your dick lol
I got the syncbot recently, need to test a bit more
but in your situation, I’d get the VR experience first !

Cleaning is a fucking mess, if you fuck this part up you can kill your Syncbot or have to do some assembling after disassembling
Does not work all the time and lots of QA fixes that are needed or that you need support for
Not to mention no API support for the apps I use (Heresphere for example), which makes that thing more work than fun overall and I didn’t even go into detail. For that amount of money…Oof.

It sounds like you’re just bad with advanced technology. I’ve been using mine for the past four months with zero issues.
The Handy Steps: Connect The Handy with a shitty integrated website or a third-party script player - Adjust the strap on handy that will likely come loose because the velcro sucks - Load up a video and script from a file saved on your PC or from a website - Not hands-free - Only has up and down functionality - is extremely messy.
Syncbot Steps: Plug in dongle - Load up either the browser-integrated pornhub profile or Syncplayer - Drag and drop ANY video and script you want into the Syn Player and it’s good to go - Hands-free - isn’t messy - feels infinitely better than The Handy - In constant development to add features and requests that customer’s want.
Again, either you aren’t tech-savvy, or perhaps you’re just an extremely basic individual. Either way, your statement is absurd and far from the norm.

Reading this I am not sure who of us has problems with tech. It’s certainly not me and it seems also not for you I guess. Maybe your setup requires different things. I am not sitting infront of a computer. I turn on my Quest 3, start Heresphere and can immediately start (websites or my own DLNA setup with scripts in folders). The strap is totally fine and never had any issues with that. If your sleeve will detach, buy a 5$ strap and you are good to go. You also do not need a PC for that setup at all - not even for your own local files.

Dongle needed, gatekeeped software, questionable AI and lots of posts in the Discord and even on here with people fucking up the device when they clean it. I am seriously up for a new device, but even I have to admit that the SLR device shows way more promise than SyncBot currently.

It’s fine if you like the current SyncBot, but maybe push a little bit less? Don’t worry it won’t die, but also won’t take off if they don’t fix some issues.

If you’re going to try and dissect a review and attempt to come from a place of authority, you’ve failed on both fronts due to your personal bias convoluting every statement you’re making to defend your case.
If you’ve injured yourself, that’s on you and not a device. I’ve never been dumb enough to just stick my dick in technology and just expect it to work perfectly.
I use a Quest 2 for VR and I can sit, stand, and lay (on my back or stomach) without any issues whatsoever. Again your “personal” setup/experience was bad because of what you were trying to achieve.
I’m in their discord as well I’m one of their scripters, so I’m well aware of the technology that goes behind everything and how it’s on innovating in a positive direction.
I could honestly care less where you work, your statement comes off as childish and immature. Something I’d expect from a child or teenager who is frustrated with technology that they don’t know how to use or get too impatient with because it doesn’t work EXACTLY how they want it to.

This is an up-and-coming company that is pushing the imagination and limitations of both pleasure and technology in a direction that is rarely seen VS mimicked poorly.
You sitting here and trashing talking their company and device is frankly, appalling and distasteful. You’re letting your personal bias negate someone else’s possibly golden opportunity to try something amazing.
Constructive criticism is always welcomed and needed to help a company grow in a healthy direction, but what you have spouted is nothing other than negative rhetoric that leaves no room for improvement. AKA There’s no real conversation to derive from what you’ve said about the device.

…the major drawback with Syncbot, and it is a very significant one, is that it’s only usable by people with a specific sized penis. The Handy is universal, and half the price. It’s also rugged as fuck, can take thousands of hours of heavy abuse, something i doubt Syncbot can handle.
There are many disappointed Syncbot users on this site, and the major issue they have is with the size. Very few of them have actually hurt themselves, as far as i know, it’s just really uncomfortable.
Be careful about the echo chamber that Syncbot have created around themselves, it’s a genius marketing strategy, and not one to be taken lightly.
Just to remind you, the first time they tried to post on this site, they used alt accounts and went full shill.
i can’t say i will ever trust them as a company as a result, but some people i know are having fun with the device, and scripts are coming out, so there is progress.
Just watch out for the old rug pull…

I was curious about syncbot but after reading this thread I lost interest.
I have a gotten a Quest 3 recently though and love it!
So no contest what you should get first as I see it.

So you’re insinuating that men with a specific dick size (on the smaller side) are having issues with the device and because of that, you should avoid this technology?
I can say the same thing about The Handy. The strap doesn’t stay on because it can’t accommodate the size the sleeve needs to be to do a correct stroke motion, so you have to lessen the velcro so it’ll work properly. Which in turn defeats the purpose of using it because you don’t get the same sensation.
I find the Syncbot to be extremely comfortable and accommodating. These are personal experiences though. If you don’t do your due diligence and research a product before you invest, you only have yourself to blame at the end of the day.
