Thanks for the clarification. i thought i missed a discounted version because Gesmax said the full package was discounted until march 1st.
I do understand that these things are probably not a huge market and therefore it is delicate to find the right pricing ![]()
Will take the Weekend to think about it and look around some more about where you can use it.. i’ve seen some very interesting VR things ![]()
Thanks to @Gesmax too for the replies and the new Info about shipping improvements, really builds a trustworthy environment getting so much info and being so active on various platforms!
Just got my SR6 from you guys. Easily the best SR6 I’ve bought on every metric.
I have bought from 4 separate suppliers and can confirm you’re packaging is the best by a huge margin. The only thing I’d say about the packaging is a layer of foam might be good on the bottom. It’s the only place where anything looked to have warn down on the box. So like 99% perfect.
Question:
I did have a question about the Twist Heated Reciver. Is there any problem with me plugging it into a different USB power supply? Or is it only safe to plug it into the mirabot?
Thanks a lot for the kind words — really appreciate it! Glad to hear the S6 arrived safely and that the packaging worked well for you.
And thanks for the suggestion about adding foam at the bottom, that’s a great point and we’ll definitely look into improving that in future batches.
For the Twist Heated Receiver, it should be powered by a separate 5V USB power adapter (around 2A recommended). It doesn’t plug into the MiraBot directly since it uses a USB power input.
A normal USB charger or power supply will work perfectly fine ![]()
Just placed my order, now to wait impatiently for 14-20 days. its time for an upgrade!
@Gesmax I’m about to order some accessories for the S6, mainly as backup and I think you said that there are planned hardware revisions in April. Should I wait until that?
It’s these I’m about to order:
Hi,
The accessories you mentioned won’t be changing in April, so there’s no need to wait for those items.
You can go ahead and order them anytime. Let me know if you need help with anything. ![]()
I Just got my S6 and the packaging is already amazing, took awhile to get out of the box but the pre-build quality is good but i encountered a concerning moment.
There was a loose screw within the S6 case and i had to unscrew the front cover and get it out, i gave everything a quick look without completely taking apart the device it looks fine but i have no clue where this screw goes, so i just kept it aside and moved on to testing the device.
Which leads me to say i had another small problem one of the servo arms was not aligned which gave me a opportunity to use the Miraplay app and i have to say it’s leaving a good impression on me as it made the process of fixing the arm misalignment less tedious. ![]()
Hi, glad to hear you’re enjoying the MiraBot S6 and that MiraPlay AiO helped make the adjustment easier ![]()
Sorry about the loose screw you found, that definitely shouldn’t cause confusion. To make sure everything is in the correct place and that it won’t affect future use, could you take a quick photo of the screw and send it to service@mirabotx.co.jp?
Our support team will take a look and help identify where it belongs and make sure everything is good on your unit.
Thanks again for reporting it and for the feedback!
Just added a small update to the main post.
For anyone who’s been considering the S6, there’s a limited-time (2-week) bonus bundle included with current full set orders.
Nothing major, but a few useful accessories for regular use and maintenance.
Full details are in the post above. ![]()
What does the shipping timeframe look like to the US? I guess if you’ve recently sent something this way I’m curious how long it took.
Hi,
based on recent shipments to the US, most orders are arriving in about 12–20 days after dispatch. Delivery time may vary slightly depending on the destination city, as well as customs processing and local carrier handling, but most shipments fall within that range.
We usually ship within 1–2 business days, and tracking will be provided once it’s handed over to the carrier.
Hi, I am very interested in getting Mirabot S6 full set. I just wanted to ask if there is any other accessories that you recommend that I should get to better enhance my experience. I would like to order everything together to avoid any need for additional shipping. I am new to this multi-axis, so would like to get an expert input on this. This will be my first multi-axis machine device, so I am super excited about this!
Hi,
really appreciate your interest and great to hear this will be your first multi-axis setup, that’s an exciting step ![]()
Based on feedback from users, here are a few accessories I’d personally recommend if you want a bit more flexibility from the start:
1. Open Receiver for Twist (82mm)
The Full Set includes a 68mm version by default, which works well for most standard sleeves. The 82mm version gives you more flexibility if you plan to use slightly larger ones.
2. MiraBot S6 Open Receiver (Universal type)
This one can be swapped with the Twist module and is better suited for larger or irregular-shaped sleeves that don’t fit well in the Twist (generally recommended under ~1200g).
3. Heated Rod (Temperature-controlled)
Helps warm up the sleeve quickly and safely. It’s currently included as part of the bonus bundle (along with the drying stick and cleaning brush) for Full Set orders.
That said, the Full Set itself is already a very complete setup, especially for a first multi-axis machine, so you definitely don’t need to get every accessory at once. The extras above are mainly for added flexibility depending on the sleeves and use cases you have in mind.
If you decide to add more later on, we’ll also have things like points/rewards and occasional offers for returning customers.
If you plan to order, I’d recommend creating an account so you don’t miss those updates ![]()
Just ordered, currently have a handy 2 so looking forward to trying out something new. I do see someone said something about updates in April so should I hold off until then?
Thanks a lot for your order, really appreciate it ![]()
We do keep improving things over time, and that can include new accessories or small refinements. But the current MiraBot itself is already a mature and stable product, so you’re in a very good spot with your order.
Also, when new updates are introduced, current promotions don’t always stay the same, so there isn’t really a perfect time to wait for “the next version.”
We see MiraBot as an evolving ecosystem, so the idea is to keep building on it over time while making sure what people already have remains worthwhile. ![]()
Are there any future plans for servo motors? I have read other devices using 35kg, 45kg, and brushless. Was wondering what is the state with SR6 and the current best servo motor since wouldn’t 45kg brushless provide better performance overall? I saw that there was joint motor being used in Funsr Pro, would that be something that could greatly improve SR6?
Good question. ![]()
Short version: for where things are today, the customized 35kg coreless servo we use is still the best overall solution for MiraBot.
We’ve tested a large number of different servos over time, and the current one was selected after a lot of trial and refinement. For our use case, it gives the best balance of performance, noise level, durability, and heat control. We’ve also worked with the manufacturer on some tuning and improvements rather than just using an off-the-shelf part as-is.
I’d rather not comment on other builders’ products directly since I don’t know the exact motor models or tuning they’re using. But speaking in general terms:
- 45kg brushless servos can offer higher load capacity on paper, but in practice that usually comes with tradeoffs in heat, gear stress, and noise. For our design goals, that tradeoff hasn’t looked worthwhile so far.
- Joint motors are definitely interesting, and I agree they can be excellent in terms of load capacity and quietness. The main issue right now is size and weight. For us, if a product gets larger and heavier, it needs to bring enough functional benefit to justify that. That makes more sense for a 6-axis platform like the S6, but much less for lighter / more compact models where portability matters.
So at the moment, we don’t have any near-term plans to change the motor platform. But we do keep evaluating new options as the hardware evolves, and if a future solution offers a clearly better overall balance, we’d absolutely be interested in testing it.
Awesome to hear, I just placed my order, number 15372. I ordered the full set, and I also added the open receiver for 82mm and the universal to pair with the default 68mm. So I should be fully covered.
What made me drawn to Mirabot was that it was the ideal, full package. I was a bit hesitant to pull the trigger right away since I wanted top performance and I saw other builds with different servo that made me wonder if I should wait.
Ultimately, it was because I like Mirabot vision aiming for ease of use, customer support, and app. I appreciate how the received modules are easily swappable as it makes it easier to fit one’s need. I can’t fully elaborate on the customer support but observing the thread, they will help instruct how to replace a bad servo motor or if there are any problems then they will send a replacement parts or unit depending on the situation. Also, they always striving for improvement on their build from feedbacks. App is a big one as it allows flexibility. I won’t lie that seeing a video showcasing using the phone motion to move the SR6 was another reason that I wanted to get Mirabot. I know that Mira AiO works with other devices, but it should pair best with their own device assuming they did a bunch of testing with their device.
I’m very excited and eager for my Mirabot SR6, I hope I didn’t place a super high expectation but since this will be my first multi-axis I believe I will be blown away
I do have high hopes for it.
Thanks a lot for your order, and welcome to the multi-axis world ![]()
That’s exactly what we’re trying to build, not just the hardware itself, but a complete ecosystem around it, including hardware, software, and support.
Really appreciate the trust, and I hope the S6 gives you a great first multi-axis experience. Once you’ve had some time with it, feel free to share your thoughts anytime. Feedback like that genuinely helps us keep improving both the product and the overall experience. ![]()
Hi @Gesmax , first of all, congratulations on your product!
A few days ago, I sent you an email through the contact form on your website, but I didn’t receive a response—neither positive nor negative; I just wanted to confirm that you had received it.
It was regarding a proposal to adapt F.A.P.S. to your device, meaning the ability to create automated funscripts that follow the rhythm of the music. I think this could be really powerful.
I saw on your Ayva website that you had something similar in the works, but if I’m not mistaken, it’s not finished yet and is still in progress.
I’d like to hear your thoughts on this. You can contact me via DM or by replying to the message I sent you. Thanks!
