Multi axis scripts seem rare

Ive been thinking of buying an SR6, but searches are not returning much that supports beyond the usual up/down axis.

Wondering if it’s worth it?

There’s actually a lot:

Big fan of the SR6, I have two.

I agree, the lack of multi axis scripts sucks… But there’s a decent amount. Although with MFP you can randomize the servo function that pairs with an up and down script. If a multi axis script is a 100% the randomized is 80%. The power of six servos is incomparable. The fact it’s ONLY double the price of a Handy or Keon and can do vastly more and is easily reparable is insane. The heating, lube pump, and twist alone are worth it. It’s just the superior device, in my opinion

By comparison to normal scripts, there’s way fewer multi-axis scripts.
Multi-axis is a niche within a niche.
Scripting one axis is already hard and time consuming, so not many script creators get into multi-axis.

You can turn single-axis into multi-axis.

Just this alone gives you more use out of the extra axises.

And even as someone who still more often daily drives their single-axis stroker, straight up multi-axis gets insane and if you’re looking for MORE its worth the upgrade usually.

I wanted to also comment that we recently improved the funscript spec to include multi-axis in one file

I was also a bit disappointed first that there weren´t that many multi axis-scripts, but at least in my subjective opinion the amount of multi axis scripts recently rose quite a bit. More and more people at least script for the osr2 or osr2+, so you at least have more than the usual up and down.
Sure, it´s still not that many compared to single axis-scripts, but there are still enough and decent scripts to try out, even with full sr6-support.
And as people said before, simply turn single axis into multi axis, this also adds a ton

I haven’t tried the SR6 but I’d say it was totally worth it to upgrade from Handy to OSR2+. I can’t tell the difference between hand-scripted pitch/roll and the randomized pitch/roll that MultiFunPlayer does, but having those additional axis- whether scripted or random- really adds to the experience. Takes a simple up down section and spices it up so each stoke feels a little bit different.

I can vouch for g90ak who I bought my OSR2+ from. Professional build quality, he provides a really easy to follow setup guide, and he was happy to help me with some questions I had.

This is pretty cool. I wasn’t aware that could be done. Think I’ll definitely spring for the SR6 now

I guess my next question is where is the best place to buy the SR6 materials? I want to build it myself, but don’t have a 3d printer and don’t want to hunt for parts. Looking for an easy purchase where I just need to build it myself and everything is provided for me. Any suggestions?

I also feel like we’ve been getting more multi axis scripts lately

They may be rare but when you get a good one it is :fire::ok_hand:

If you like SFM/CGI/Animated content that’s what i’ve been scripting, all free, all multi-axis. There’s already a lot on the site too if you search for it.

Of course in comparison to the single-axis there’s way less. It’s just very time consuming to make 2-6 extra scripts on top of single axis. I personally spent 9 hours a few days ago scripting 4 different videos only about a few minutes long a piece. Not a lot of people want to spend that extra time when only a few users will even have the hardware to run it.

It’s not hard if you want to learn and make your own though, only time consuming.
