Multi-Axis Stroker Help

Hello everyone,

I would like to purchase a multi-axis stroker that I would be able to use with my Quest 3 headset for a full immersion experience.

The problem is I have no idea where to begin with any of it. I would ideally also like to be able to script my own favorite scenes as well.

If the community could help me it would be greatly appreciated. I need suggestions on…

*which robot is suggested?
*where can I purchase?
*how do I use it in conjunction with my Q3 headset?
*what are the suggested programs to use to create my own multi-axis scenes?

Any other opinions and help would be greatly appreciated!!

Thank you all :call_me_hand:

First - imo Sr6 is king when equipped with scripts that take advantage of all axis points. The downside is how big and noisy it is. Some ppl upgrade the servos to be quieter but that’s still 6 servos (7 if you include the twist) going off at once so I have my doubts about how quiet it actually gets. The other thing is the maintenance that may be required if you have to swap out a servo yourself or change a o-ring so you can’t be scared to take it apart. Osr2 is a solid unit and it’s actually what I started with. Fair price and I believe has more multi axis script’s than the sr6 which can be used on either device but I feel most scripters have the osr2 in mind. It has Pretty much the same cons as the Sr6 minus having 6 servos (only has 3)

Second - I got my sr6 and osr2+ from yourhobbiescustomized and it took roughly 10-14 days to arrive.

3rd - I’ve used deoVR paired with my quest 2 and heresphere with my quest 2. My preference is with heresphere but deoVR is free to use without getting an annoying ad like heresphere free option.

4th - connection is similar on both but I feel it’s easier on deoVR. All you have to do is get your IP address and set it on whichever player. There’s forums that better describes this.

Lastly the only thing I found tedious is the up keep. Had my sr6 for about 2-4 years and I’ve had to replace the bushings for the control arms multiple times and in doing so the thread may have been ruined and would come loose randomly when I didn’t notice it in time to tighten.

Just today for a test I tried using PS Move + 2 PS Eye to capture rotations and movements in space - turns out it’s very easy to write multi-axis scripts with minimal device cost. Also for Steam VR + PSMoveServiceEx + Blender you can use a smartphone for rotations and simple scripts. Tomorrow I will try to write instructions + scripts how to use it.
