Old sales post

Nice, waiting for all upgrades to be available for the SR6 and I’ll be jumping in. I’m already a highest tier patreon supporter.

Just ordered an OSR2 a few days back through the website, and I’m soo excited for it to come. There anything I shoud know about it that isn’t listed on this post?

Make sure you already have your Player of choice installed. There are a few. Have a mounting, power, and data solution ready as well.

Power adapter, USB cord with data transfer, and a way to mount the OSR2.

LMK if you have any other questions!

Thanks for reaching out.

Actually I have an odd one. Do you know off the top of your head if the clear Fleshlight cases fit into the adapter without breaking it? The teeth are slightly wider and the case has a slightly larger circumference.

The clear one I have fits. It came with the Ice Thrust/Turbo.

I know people find the OSR2 better than the handy for motion tracking scripts. How do they compare when it comes to music-based pmv/cock hero/hmv scripts? I tend to enjoy these more so i’m wondering if i’ll get as much value out of one.

Overall the device is able to keep up with faster tempos at longer stroke lengths. Be it a script made to follow on screen action or the beat of the music. I particularly enjoy the Waveya scripts by @anon39026496. He has a way of making the script follow their dancing which is of course following the music. I mostly enjoy the cock hero/PMV videos where the script follow a mix of the music and the action over action based scripts myself as well.

Update/News

I want to update the thread and buyers with this post. The last week has been almost completely down time regarding the business. This makes me feel like I have let some of you down. I assure you I was spending as much time that I could allocate to your builds. Some of the delays were lost parts in mail some of it has been picking things up and putting them down and the rest of the down time has been recovery. I have been recovering from my move(which spanned over 3 weeks) and I did not expect it to take so much out of me. To make matters only slightly more stressful the number of orders coming in has increased.

To make up for this loss in time I have an extra pair of hands( a good friend who doesn’t judge me and gets 0 information other than how to build these devices). Plus I have acquired four more printers that are shipping to me to get caught back up. I apologize for the delay to those of you who asked for a time frame and I have exceeded that.

If you have questions or wish to see the progress on your specific build I am happy to answer an dms and reach out on discord.

I would prefer to send you my best quality and rushing the builds or working when exhausted is not the way to provide the level of quality I can provide.

Thank you for your understanding.

So I’ve just stumbled down this rabbit hole quite by accident today, and it’s really intriguing. But is there an overview somewhere of everything that would be needed for a full “setup”, how it would attach/install, what connection is required to the PC (since it sounds like it won’t work wirelessly?), how it would work with a VR headset and something like VAM, etc.? Or is that kind of thing only available to patrons? Trying to get my head around this whole thing and right now I’m just getting fragments and trying to piece them all together. I also don’t have any knowledge or capability regarding 3D printing so couldn’t even begin to go do the DIY route. Thanks!

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out.

Of course I am happy to assist. I highly recommend subscribing at the top tier on Patreon for at least the month you are making the purchase.

This would get you access to the most recent parts available. Plus, the discord community has all of the software you will need to make the device run. We are just starting to see more Mac accessibility previously it was all Windows/Linux.

On my website you can purchase everything you need to make the device work except for the power supply. Currently I am recommending this one.

How it works with VR might depend a bit with the headset type. There are a couple of threads on this website dedicated to how to get the systems to communicate. I personally use the Quest original with ALVR to stream the video over my wifi to my headset. Then the script player send the data either over USB or WiFi to the OSR2/SR6.

It is possible to integrate a game pad in to the loop to control the OSR2 as well.

VAM I have not yet experimented with so I am unable to answer any question on that topic. That would be where the Discord would be useful.

There is no way I answered all of your questions. If you think of anything else feel free to ask away.

Oh interesting… ok, I also use an OG Quest and ALVR so no problem there. I’m not familiar enough with the idea of scripts and the like… is “the script player” something like DeoVR? So it sounds like it communicates (wirelessly!) to the PC, but then the SR still has to be cabled to the computer, yes?

I’ve been perusing your site and there are sure a lot of possibilities. Really wish I had a clue about printing my own parts as there is clearly a large premium for having someone else do it for you. Understandable but… woof.

I’m still struggling to imagine how something like this could be used in say a recliner or bed. I see the desk clamp idea but that doesn’t appeal to me. Does anyone reading this, use a SR hands-free in a bed or recliner configuration?

Few questions:

  • Does the SR6 benefit from the power bus or the fan lid?
  • Is the SR6 compatible with the desk mount?
  • How much quieter do “performance” servos function? Trying to maintain Handy-like levels of noise and was worried that the OSR2/SR6 would be much louder.

It is certainly a bit louder. I have tested some new servos in the last couple weeks. I need to buy a sound meter so I can get you guys some actual comparisons. I do not own a handy. SO if someone else in the community could get us some readings or if they advertise the noise level of the handy that would be useful information please.

Yes

Yes the power bus is needed to operate without damage to the main board. There is no fan lid at this time and the servos should not get as hot as they are sharing the load across 6 servos instead of 2.

To be honest a lot of the mark up is on the parts and not the prints. I just had someone tell me that they reached out to a few professional 3D printing services and just for all the parts to be 3D printed was actually more expensive then my completed ready to use builds.

The OSR2 can be used wirelessly with just a power supply. I am still working on testing the SR6 to see if this is a possibility.

Would it be possible to make a Fleshlight Flight adapter available for purchase along with a OSR or SR6? https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3045000

WOW those are some creative rigs. Seems they take up a not insignificant amount of space. Although that 3rd pic, some sort of laptop stand or something I think? Seems like it could work and be fairly “put-awayable”.

I’m going to watch this space… very intrigued.

I have a couple of adapters available on the site tight now. I am looking into the dimension of the flight to see if the compact case I have available will work for you .

Cool. Seems like the flight adapter would use a ton less material, and may be more secure. Would it be better for me to put in my SR6 order now to get into the queue and then figure out an adapter later?

That would be advisable.

Getting ready to print and check that for you.

Have you got experience with shipments to the EU yet? Depending on how stuff is shipped from outside I often have to visit the customs to pick it up and in order to do so, I have to show them the goods as well as the according invoices or another proof of how much I paid for them, which is not a very pleasant prospect  As far as I know, there are ways to let the shipping company handle that, but I don’t know any specifics.
