I was wondering if anybody had some settings they used with any of the passthrough videos. I’m a using meta quest 3 with heresphere app to play the videos. I don’t know if it’s just that the studios aren’t setting up passthrough correctly to match up with reality, but most of the people will appear as giants due to the perspective changing from the real life background and the set.
For some reason though these videos are filmed incredibly high on the male actor when you turn off the passthrough, the rig is way way above them from as opposed to the non passthrough scenes. It is so frequent in the passthrough videos I’m wondering if there is some setting I’m missing that will help pull it into perspective, otherwise I’m not sure why in particular the passthrough videos they are really contorting the male actor into more extreme angles than standard VR scenes do.
When people are laying down I’ve had a better chance getting everything into scale and perspective, but any other angle just feels wildly off. I know there is a limit to how well video can place stuff, but it still feels more off than it needs to be.
Has anybody had any luck getting passthrough down to realistic size and perspectives or have any settings/advice they can share? Thank you!
