Quest 2 vs QHD+ Smartphone

Hey guys!

I was just wondering how big the difference is between the Quest 2 or any Phone with a QHD+ Display and a solid VR Headset.

I started vr with a 1080p Phone + Cardboard and now i am watching on an oneplus 8 Pro, with QHD+ and 120Hz. This “Upgrade” was insane at this time and the quality is pretty good (compared to e.g. Playstation VR which i used once).

Is there so much difference between 4k and 6k?

Short Answer, yes.

4K around 3840 x 2160 pixel
6K around 6144 x 3160 pixel
oneplus 8 pro = 3168 x 1440 pixels

Nearly double the pixels on same lense size makes the difference.
