For anyone that has ordered commisions in the past know it aint cheap mainly cause scripting takes time and work to get it right. So why not help eachother out will script pooling. This was done in the past in a discord to pool commision money towards a project. It divided up the cost among multiple parties instead of it just falling on one person to pay for the commision. But that discord is long dead. So lets say a commison came out to 50 bucks. If 5 people showed intrest and contributed to the commison pool each person would pay 10 bucks. Less of a financial strain on your pockest and the scripter still gets payed.
So would there be intrest in bring script pooling over to the fourms?
If so how could this be intergrated or organised for use here?

I tried to do something similar on my discord channel. But there was no special result.
I received several orders that were paid for entirely by one person. But the idea of separate payment never worked out
I think it falls into interest and knowledge that it exist. if you dont want to contribute to the pool well, your not. But if not enough people even know its happening I can see it becoming a bottleneck
Sounds kind of complicated - you’d need some vetted scripters and purchasers, I guess. Maybe there’s an opportunity to go towards a sort of “reputation route” and vet scripters and purchases or something. Not sure.
It would be great. I don’t script as frequently, if at all, anymore because of my job and lack of time. I commission scripts here and there, but as you know, it’s pretty expensive. There used to be tons of scripters on this site who would create free feature-length scripts (30-50 minutes), but I feel like you can only do that for so long before needing compensation to keep going. Nowadays, it’s pretty hard for me to find content I actually enjoy on this site, so I just stick to supporting the veteran scripters here through their Patreons.
I will say this: a simple app or site like GoFundMe, but called GoScriptMe, would be pretty cool. I think it’s hard to compete with the patreon ecosystem.
People could take initiative going through highly voted script requests and suggesting script pooling for popular requests that haven’t been fulfilled due to the amount of work required.
This would be similar to how initiatives have been made to script videos such as KENZsoft’s Secret Atelier! (check the oldest version of Falafel’s OP in the edit history).
But instead of releasing an incomplete script with the invitation for other scripters to join, one would pledge to contribute to the price of commission.
This might be best done with a wiki topic or a new subcategory to signal boost initiatives. I doubt a subcategory is warranted until the concept garners popularity and success.
