Hey all, I have recently been advocating for the script review section of the forum to be better utilized by community members. I personally think that well written reviews are beneficial for everyone in the community.

Reviews allow users to make more informed purchases when they buy paid scripts.

Scriptwriters get more attention, traffic, and feedback when people write real reviews (whether they are reviews of paid or free content).

The possibility that any given script might be reviewed by someone, on this public forum, will hopefully encourage the production of higher quality scripts. The hope/fear that someone might try your scripts and talk about it will be good for the script-conomy.
So, with that in mind, I have put together a template for writing reviews that I plan to use if/when a review needs writing, and I am sharing it here for you all to put to good use. I have written it in the style of the post template for the free/paid script category. It includes my opinions/ideas on how to write a good review. Give it a go!

General Information
ihavealittlejohn is a multi-axis creator that mostly just whines on the forums and is now trying to start a side hustle of writing script reviews. That will probably never catch on! He likes long walks on the beach, and publishing 6 second long scripts. When he isn’t doing that he posts twerking videos from 2012. For example:

Review
Overall I find his style of reviewing and his scripting to be shallow and pedantic.
But if I had to be most specific I find this section of his Shoshina script (0:41) to be particularly shallow and pedantic. (It says to include information like this in the template. You’ll do a much better job than this example.) The script goes too low. It’s shallow.
Final Words / Recommendation
While I do recommend that you buy things from me, hopefully it is not based on this review template. This is the end of my ted talk.
