Should Loli (considered child pornography in UK) be banned or quarantined?

TBH… I haven’t even come across any disturbing Loli content here…
I don’t usually watch HMVs though and I know there’s a lot of them here, so I’m not in a position to be a judge of this.
Just wanted to put it out there that - if you wouldn’t have brought the topic up - I probably never would have guessed this forum has lots of Loli/Shotacon.

Could you maybe not with the armchair psychology and insulting people who don’t agree with you?

Also, while I don’t think you can prove your assertion here (or that it’s correct), I have seen research concluding that having safe outlets do help people not act on desires that would harm others (not limited to the subject of this particular conversation), and that suppression (aka “bury it deeply”) makes things worse. Oh, and ostracization? Also makes things worse, because the last thing you want is for someone who has enough of a functioning moral compass to not harm living people is to be left with only the company of people who will tell them that no, no, the thing that harms living people is just fiiiine.

So even if you’re right about your initial precept, you’re still own-goaling left and right here.

Could you maybe not with the armchair psychology either?

I’m not sure it does. I’ve seen maybe a half dozen videos listed that fit the bill (all marked in the description), and a couple hmvs that had content that fit the bill. (Though I skip most hmvs, so that number is probably low.) Maybe a couple more on realsync that don’t seem to have posts here? Not a majority of even just the hentai content, never mind the forum as a whole.

Of course, that’s if teenagers are okay. If they’re not, then it’s off to the races, because you might be able to avoid hentai with high schoolers in it? But it really ain’t easy.

I’ve also seen some content I was thinking about scripting because of technical interest*, but found myself going “Okay, going by this character’s facial structure, she’s maybe a petite 20-something? But other people have tagged it as loli. But the official source does not. What believe?” And finally said hell with it and moved on to other projects. Who decides where the line is drawn?

*As in, it involves a game engine that doesn’t have support for this kind of scripting, but I think I could probably add it without much trouble, so it’d be a cool project from that point of view.

It doesn’t.

I made this post because I’ve only recently been noticing it and I was hoping to bring it to people’s attention before it becomes a bigger issue.

I don’t really agree, but you know what, this isn’t really worth arguing about. However, there’s another question that I don’t believe has been brought up.

What is the legal status of animated material in the location where this forum is hosted? I think I’ve read that it’s US-based, but if that were in, say, California, then the rest of it doesn’t matter, it needs to go byebye for the safety of the forum as a whole.

And however this plays out, I think this is another reason why we could really use a better system for people other than the OP to add tags to posts. Multiple sites I’ve been on (for both sfw and nsfw material) have user-voted tags, it seems to work. (And one has the policy of “You don’t want to tag your posts? Don’t let the door hit you on the way out,” which is a position I can get behind.)

I’m in 100% agreement.

No.

As long as any contentious content is tagged, it should stay. If you don’t like it, use the tag filters as they are there to filter out content you don’t like. Removing an entire category of porn because a few people are mad that people are liking it (and charting it) is a very bad decision.

Drawn content is NOT REAL and therefore should be treated differently from IRL CP, which should obviously banned because it’s harming real children and is illegal, while lolicon is just a grey area and should stay because no one is getting harmed.

If loli is banned, you just alienated ~25% of all of the drawn content that is there.

thank you for explaining how to mute it.

I think that we as a community should be able to have conversations to forward the wants and needs of the community without name calling and the like. I am closing this topic for now and will tidy up a bit so we can continue discussion. Ultimately it is clear that there is a NEED for action and Admin and mods will go into discussion where we will try to determine a best action for the community.
