A couple of suggestions for the site:
1} If possible I would like to see the community to be able to suggest/vote missing tags on scripts. A lot of scripts are missed because of the lack of tags.
2} A more accurate search.

I’m actively editing and updating tags on topics missing them everyday https://discuss.eroscripts.com/t/for-those-that-have-the-real-tag-blocked-have-you-noticed-less-posts-with-the-real-tag-appearing-in-free-scripts but I do agree for now you should try to add tags to topics missing them if you see any
I think you have to be at trust level 3 to tag edit (im only at 2).
Try to edit a topic I don’t think you need to be level 3 you just have a bigger daily limit the higher rank you are but even with that I was editing everyday with a 15 edit daily limit for over a month.
Users can report posts for missing tags and high enough trust level allows you to edit the tags yourself.
What do you mean by this?
My problem is I keep reaching then losing trust level 3. ![]()
I did some research about TL3.
I didn’t know you could lose it’s status. Apparently after gaining it you have to keep it for 2 weeks or it can be demoted. I personally think that’s stupid. I’m going to look into making TL3 easier to get and keep.
2} A more accurate search.
i don’t know if this is still true or not, but sometimes i search by the original filename in the funscript, i rarely find the post by that piece of info, it’s like the indexer for the text search doesn’t index the filenames that are present.
I just tested this by searching the filename of some of my scripts and I can find the exact post the script was from
I made it a personal campaign to ask paid scripters to include the name of their scripts in their EroScripts posts. I started doing that because it is very difficult to associate the script file back to the right scene otherwise.
You may just be suffering the same problem.
Is it possible to allow level 2’s to edit tags?
I can. It used to be level 2s and that caused a lot of people to abuse that. Marking things with tags that were not relevant and changing titles to deface things they didn’t like, but that was during a time when the controversial tags had a lot of attention and prior to their default mute.
You could trial it? because it seems like getting to level 3 is hard
There are up and coming changes that should make it easier to get lvl 3.
For now I’m reducing it to lvl 2, it may go back to 3 if the number of lvl 3 users increase.
Non-VR messes up search, can it be renamed?
Its really annoying to search for vr when trying to do any search modifiers (say i want to sort all VR that’s NOT real porn) as the search tool often breaks or shows no results if i try to do exclusive operations. Im not sure if its reading the “vr” string in the “non-vr” string and then kinda of negating itself. Also any search for VR also often still shows non-vr content when you search for anything more detailed then JUST the vr tag since it finds the vr string in non-vr. Anyways, i feel it should be safe to assume 2d or “not a vr projection” is the default for most content, so is the tag necessary, or at the least can it be safely renamed to something else that means the same thing such as 2d.
In fact i would even go as far as to say it should, as a cursory look of the 2d tag shows people combining non-vr and 2d to specify the content is “a regular video” such as here. If non-vr is basically the default tag for most videos, shouldn’t it get another name like 2d, or #flat, or #regular-video? If not, is there any better way to search for VR content without having to do things like have a tab open where i black list non-vr until im done searching, only to go back and un black list it.
do you know about the negative search modifiers? So when you search vr add “-tags:non-vr” and all tagged non-vr scripts are removed, gamechanger!
check this out, it might help you in the future when your searching for more specific things ![]()
