SR6 Beginner

Hello!
I just received my SR6 machine and i would love some help on how to start it up.
Do I just need a software and a video w/ script? What software would you recommend? I saw something about a XTPlayer and I saw there is maybe still a JoyFunPlayer…
I used to own a OSR so i have some knowledge on how all this works but it was quite awhile back.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I apologize if a topic was already created on this and I didnt see it. But i hope this topic will help future SR6 owners.

Get free edition of MultiFunPlayer, choose MPV input there, it’ll download mpv itself, run it, drop a video in, done
Scripts should be next to the video

I got MultiFunPlayer, Downloaded MPV thru it. But MFP wont connect to MPV. It connected at first but even then a video and script didnt make the SR6 move. SR6 is at home so I know that portion is working.
When trying to connect MPV, I get a timeout error.

OK, I reinstalled everything and MPV is now connecting but I still cant seem to get the script to work.

After some trial and error, I got the scripts working by adding ‘Serial’ down at the bottom and selecting the port the SR6 is connected to.
For some reason I always need to manually add the script tho…
But its working.

Next, I’d like to connect to SLR. Anyone know how to acomplish this? Im guessing thru DeoVR but I cant seem to figure out how to connect.

I don’t have time to go into details, but I think the best way (maybe only way) is with the paid patreon version of MultiFunPlayer (only need to sub for a month, but you wont get updates).

I think SLR might have released their own firmware, but that might have been only for the OSR, and it would also require flashing the device to their firmware.

Script should have same name as video and be in the same folder
Paid version of MFP ($3 patreon) can download scripts from SLR, check it out

Thank you for the replies!!

Ill check out the paid version.

As for the scripts not auto selecting, turns out the problem was that I was making the files the same exact names…so used to doing that lol…turns out you want the same names but keep the video name without the terms like twist, pitch, roll, etc.
so, it is working like a charm now
