Are there any devices that offer real-time control? I was quite surprised to find out most devices need a script to be uploaded.
Every device I can think of has a remote control application - at least on mobile. The Handy has multiple web-based options as well, such as Handyverse and Wingman - The Handy Controller.
On PC look at Intiface Central, which controls pretty much every device.
Intiface allows controlling anything that has real-time protocol
But generally you probably want either Handy v2 (coming in August) (Handys have ~60% of the market so it’s as okay is it can be, and v2 will be somewhat better then v1 I think) or something from OSR family for its multiaxis
These are remote but not real-time. You basically just choose/customize a preset and play it. I would like something that let’s you change the position manually in the app/script and the stroker would copy the movements or something that would allow dynamic gameplay integration.
tl;dr check
I see what you are getting at. I suspect that it isn’t a popular request to control a stroker manually - you could buy a basic onahole and move your hand up and down for a lot less money.
There are lots of devices that support dynamic gameplay integration. We have a whole forum category for those here.
@emilzatopek please tell me exact use case 90% it has a working example I can link
I was under the impression most devices didn’t have the ability to be controlled in real-time (e.g. streaming the positions to the device from another app). Was I wrong? I know there are latency issues with some devices, but for example Autoblow uses WiFi.
One use-case I was thinking was scripting videos and seeing the toy react in real-time. You could test different patterns much faster.
Another use-case would be couples remote play. Instead of just running a preset, your partner could stroke a virtual cock and the movements would be transferred to you.
Or a VR game that would transfer some of your hand/object movements to the device.
MultiFunPlayer has OpenFunScripter connection
Every idea you have someone else already had years ago. Search deeper. Use topic search, AI and google.
Okay, so… Controlling in real-time is a thing that can be (and is) done several ways.

This is explicitly what most devices were advertised as originally. This is the web portal for the Handy. Take notice that it effectively does exactly what you’re asking. There are several first and third party tools for doing exactly this.

Intiface, as many people have pointed out, does exactly that and there are many games with native support. My recommendation would be VirtaMate with the VaMX extension.

This is much harder. Scripts are capable of doing much more than what direct streaming is capable of doing. It’s a limitation of the controller hardware. If you’re willing to buy or build something like the SR1, OSR, or SR6 (they use an ESP32 which can use a wired connection), you may be able to accomplish that, but as of right now real-time streaming+script recording isn’t something that’s particularly possible.
