fun2sync doens’t self-update like the others, is the latest version still 1.0.0.0?
Hey I know this is a bit off topic, but I had literally hundreds of .funscripts that I wanted to convert using fun2sync and the current version is very non-bulk oriented. So I wrote this basic python script which basically fakes keyboard inputs to launch fun2sync, “type” in the video and script paths and kick off the conversation. It does this in a loop over all the videos in a given folder so it pretty quickly converted all the scripts to the proprietary format syncbot uses.
So I’m sharing this python script here in case this is useful to anyone else.
Note that this is very much a “developer” script – i.e., you need to read the code a little bit to know how it works and customize it to your setup by installing a python package and adjusting file paths, etc. But if somebody wants to formalize this script a little bit it might be useful.

BTW: use with some caution. Because this is simulating keyboard inputs it will type into whatever thing is on screen and once you start it you need to let it finish. If you open a browser or something it will start typing into the browser, etc.

You’d better send it to us. We’re still waiting. Twice the program crashed and locked the computer while analyzing. I couldn’t find the browser questionnaire at first, then I filled it in, but no answer yet. The script files I downloaded from somewhere didn’t work for some reason, even though they have the same name as the video and I copied them to C:\Users\XXX\SYNCPLAYER\trace folder. At least send me this program so we can use it. I also wrote you a private message (my e-mail address where I bought the device)
What do you mean with “same name as the video”? The scripts should not have the same name as the video. The acttrack files normally have weird combinations of letters and numbers and these correspond in some way to the video. I think it also must be the exact same video or at least have the same name of the video it analyzed, to connect the script with the video.
About the crashes: There could be different reasons, but it generally starts by checking your PC setup. AI needs a lot of ressources to work properly, even though the Syncbot team probably tried to make it as accessible as possible, there might be a chance that the setup is not strong enough. Did you try the “CPU only” option? Other things that are important is that you don’t use a Mac and that your graphic card drivers are up to date.
About the browser, as much as I know, I sent you the link in Discord like 5 hours ago. Their response to the Syncbrowser application can take 24 - 48 hours.
Finally I was able to get updated links to the 3 necessary programs. This shouldn’t be like this. Either you put the three programs on usb or you send them immediately by mail, after ordering the device. I even wish they were combined into one program. And of course we expect Vr support as soon as possible. The problem was fixed after installing the updated syncplayer. Many (even all) problems have been solved. VR support is left. Because bluetooth mode didn’t work for this either. (My expectation was to connect the device to the Intiface Central program, which I couldn’t do. It doesn’t work. The program doesn’t see the device even in bluetooth mode. If this had happened, when you connect the Intiface program to the scriptplayer, the device automatically connects and when you add the Deovr player to the scriptplayer, you can watch VR videos with your device. I was able to do this with The Handy). Looks like we will have to wait for VR support. Or as a very absurd experiment, while opening the video in syncplayer on one side, we will start the same video from Deovr with vr glasses at the same time.
A comment of mine on the other side: Apparently, the syncplayer program assigns a special name to a computer in order to match videos with the script files it generates for video analysis. If this is true (and I think we have confirmed that it is), it means that we cannot directly use a script file that someone has made by hand. This is a very bad thing, they should fix this system. Because let’s say the program that changes the format changes it instantly, but even though my PC is very powerful, it converts a 40-50 minute video (4K) in 50 minutes. What are you going to wait for? To find out what the name of that video will be! And then you’ll do it just to be able to use that name to change the name of the hand-made script you already have, that’s how it works!
