Hi
I’m struggling to find VR multi-axis content. I’ve tried searching here with the tags vr and multi-axis but there’s only 4-5 videos in the free scripts category… am I missing something, is there more content available? Or is it just a “niche”?
The forum has an “intersection” feature that allows you to browse tag combinations in the view with thumbnails

For using advanced search, the UI for adding tags uses tags:vr,multi-axis which sucks. Use plain text tags instead, like #scripts:free-scripts #vr #multi-axis

I’m guessing its super super time consuming, most vr are pushing 40min++. Unless a video has deep varying movements, I dont see the real need for multiaxis imo. I don’t even bother with multi scripts anymore. Perfected my randomizer settings to my liking.
using osr2+?
what settings are you using
I have a SR6 and I use multifunplayer. Oh nothing complicated mostly just shallow movements and reduced motion speed. Works well for me.
Making a single-axis script is time consuming. Basically everyone on this site has a single-axis device, multi-axis users are a smaller niche to start. And scripters are rare to begin with, so multi-axis scripters would be even more rare.
Adding extra axises takes even more time for a platform that has far fewer users makes multi-axis scripts a niche within a niche. And for vr the people would have to have the extra gear for that. So niche within a niche within a niche.
We’re thankful for the multi-axis scripters we’ve got but for the scripts that don’t get it we just do this: Turn Single-axis into Multi-axis

This isnt very clear when searching by tags.
How do i start an intersection search without creating the custom URL?
Under the Advanced Filters when you search, you can select multiple options for Categorized and Tags.
Thats not the same search function as what was shown above, that does what a normal search already does, i want the “intersection” search without having to make an individual url just to get to that mode.
@Dimava Is the tag intersection navigator plugin disabled? I’m not seeing any UI to navigate to the intersection feature.
i would say for VR realistic video multiaxis is highly needed to really feel what’s happening on screen
well, not only for VR, for non-VR real video it also applies, but in VR you probably have higher quality vid + immersion, so it’s more important for movement to be replicated exactly us in video, singelaxis ruins the immersion in most cases
some non-VR mmd or cockheros don’t really depend scripts on movements, just on rhythm, so here single-axis is fine
but for real video - no no no, single-axis is unrealistic(
PS: well, i personally don’t really need hour long video lol, shorter videos also takes less time to make a script, but shorter VR real videos kinda rare by itself, and scripted once even more rare(
An experienced scripter needs 6-13 hours of just scripting time (that means not stopping, OFS stops time if you dont do anything) for a 45-80min VR video just for single stroker up and down. Now multiply that by 3 or even 4 depending on the moves in the video and how much effort someone puts in to get things right. For a niche which is a niche which people in here already mentioned so
- sure it feels great if done right
- but not a lot of people that will use it (so less for attention whores like me) or money for people putting up paid scripts
It’s just kinda a thing that you do on your own for your favourite movie and be done with that because you realize that life is too short.
I don’t think we had it installed
I don’t see it even on the Test site
Multi-Axis is incredible. It’s time consuming but really you can make parts at a time and use it as you make more scripts for a scene. Every extra axis makes a major difference. I suggest you learn how to script it yourself and do an axis at a time until you get the hang of it. Don’t let anyone tell you it’s no big deal, because if they do they either have an agenda or haven’t actually tried it, in my opinion. Getting full motion from an SR6 on a great video is heaven.
