My Handy has been operating well for the past few days, however just last night, it wasn’t connecting to Wi-fi.
I tried re-configuring my handy, however it doesn’t re-configure for some reason.
I was wondering if anyone possibly knew what to do, and if there is a way to restart the Handy device.
So far, all of the information that I see about restarting or resetting the handy is about resetting the stroke length and/or speed.
Changing the connection key can sometimes resolve issues with video players that won’t connect. This assumes that you still can login and connect on https://handyfeeling.com/ .
I did change the connection key, however it doesn’t connect to handy feeling if that’s what you mean by login.
Yes. Maybe you need to go through the full setup again. I haven’t done that in ages so I don’t know how you do it these days. There should be instructions on handyfeeling website though.
I also did try this, however, after connecting the Handy to my phone via Bluetooth, it shows that my handy has stored credentials for my Wi-Fi and doesn’t let me progress further. I was just stuck on that step, and the only thing I can do then is to generate a new key. It also says that I can replace my Wi-Fi network, but when I click that, it says failed to find network.
I messaged customer service, and they said they would get to me in an hour.
Ok, hopefully the support team can help you get this resolved swiftly. Remember to post the solution here so others may benefit from your struggles if they run into the same issue.
Will do!
Thanks for your help though!
I appreciate you still trying to help me!
I remember people getting locked out at work constantly because their corporate provided iPhones kept old passwords and tried to connect to WiFi with invalid credentials and thus causing the Windows account to be locked out after too many retries So when those people tried to logon on their Windows laptops it failed too and they had to go to the IT Lounge and get their account password reset. The drawback of auto connect with stored credentials in devices.
I agree 100%, that is definitely something. Thank you for telling me that, I could probably use some of that information when speaking to customer service.
I’m not sure when I will get a reply, they never messaged me back after an hour, but I just got a message saying they will reply in a day, so I guess I will wait. I will post updates as they come.
so Handy has like 3 Android apps plus whatever on Apple…can you say which you are attempting this with?
Alright, well, I am unable to connect to my own Wi-Fi so I will keep trying to figure out how to do that, however, I was able to connect to my phones hotspot which still allowed me to use Handyfeeling on my pc. This is a possibly solution, but I am still going to try and figure out how to connect to Wi-Fi.
Oh, I do have a question if anyone knows. Where do I find the order number for my handy? I got it from Amazon, and was wondering if I had to find it through there, or if is on the bottom of the handy.
For some reason, I am not sure why, but it connected to Wi-Fi.
I will still see if the issue occurs, and I will still try to message support, other than that, as of right now, it is working.
I will see if there is a solution for the future though.
Yup, Handyverse is the one I use to change my wifi.
I can never get it to connect to 5 Ghz, are you connecting to a 2.4 Ghz wifi?
If you bought it from The Handy storefront in Amazon, you should be able to give the Amazon order number. If a third party vendor, you may be SOL.
You can get your Handy serial number by connecting to it with the Handy Onboarding app–that may be acceptable to Support
I believe I am connecting to 2.4 Ghz as that’s what it says on my router.
And thank you for the information for my order number, I think I sent them their patent number instead so I will go fix that.
I’m going to post this as a temporary solution until I find a full solution as what I experienced was pretty random with the handy.
If your handy suddenly stops connecting, first try to change the key and reconnect.
If this does not work, then youll want to check if there is a problem with your handy itself.
How I did this was by connecting the handy to my phones hotspot. If it connects, your handy should be good, if it doesnt, I am not sure what this could mean, but I would contact customer support if this happens.
If your handy does connect to the hotspot, I would then attempt to connect to the Wifi once again.
If it still doesnt work, I would then change the key once more, and maybe give it some time before attempting to connect again.
These are just the steps I followed and it somehow started working again.
Another thing you can do is double check your wifi, maybe even reset your router (not sure if this will do anything but doesnt hurt to try).
I dont know if this will help anyone, I would definitely try it if you happen to run into problems, but definitely contact customer support.
You can access an AI chat through Handyverse which you can then contact an associate. It will take some time for them to reply back so be aware of that.
Other than that, I hope this could maybe help, and if not, I wish you the best of luck!
