To all the Gumroad Seller

First, it’s cool to see that more and more scripter are using gumroad.

BUT! Please don’t ruin this alternative selling method by posting copyright stuff, showing nude and directly redirect to eroscripts.

  • The most of you don’t explizit say that you don’t include the videos
    → If it’s not clear that you are not share the video, the publisher won’t accept that if they find out. The scripts are based on copyright material, there is a big discussion if it is even legal to earn money with it
  • You use copyright pictures without the permission of the copyright holder (Publisher)
    → No rights, product or shop get banned if a publisher msg gumroad
  • You post urls to the video directly in your gumroad product
    → the same as before (it is too easy to track for the publisher)
  • Gumroad and their payment services can easily track where the redirects come from, eroscripts a site with 100% nude content without a age verification
    → pornography content isn’t allowed on gumroad, the payment service won’t accept it, you will lost your earned money and in the worst case, the payment services could request to general ban funscripts from Gumroad.

Did you read the use of terms?

Of course, it can all go well or everyone who sells there is screwed.

Please:

  • Stop posting copyright material, you can advertise over eroscripts
  • Stop posting urls from publisher, you can post it on eroscripts and/or make a txt with url in the downloadable content
  • Stop using explizit words
  • Stop direct links from eroscripts, use a url shorter like https://bitly.com/ or use a overview page like I do.

Thank you for your hints.

I’m not a lawyer and have not thought about it, to speak the truth. Have made some alternations to the product pages on gumroad. Hope that addresses some of the possibilities you mentioned. :slight_smile:

What is your process for pictures exactly ? The only way I saw is just not posting pictures but it feel empty.

For links I’m adding them in a txt file next to the funscript.

The bit link is a good idea. If people are not afraid to click on it

For using then code integration on my own website I’m waiting to get some money with my script to invest on it.

I use photoshop with “Painterly” Action. But there are tons of things you can do, to make it harder for a image search to find copyright material.

ok you just create new tumbnails by yourself. But it’s technically not solving the source of the problem as it stay copyrighted

If you want to 100% solve the copyright image problem, don’t use the images and only post the heatmap on the gumroad product page. It’s enought I think, the title is still in description. And to be honest, nobody will visit your gumroad page from google or somewhere else, every potential buyer comes from eroscripts.
