launch, handy,osr2, sr6, funsr1v1 been with the evolution of electronic strokers since I think 2012/13 with RTS. Torque on the machines needs to be improved along with the motherboard so it doesn’t burn out. I’d wait for fall 2025 till the current market refines their products. Not much has changed with the single axis strokers, there were always work arounds like cutting stroker cases and sleeves to reduce weight but the motors need some RnD.
How do the osr2, sr6 and funsr with the twist compare to one another?
The twist is still a niche in the scripting community, I don’t use it often due to the noise of the SR series, the multiple motor noise bleeds through my headphones in VR and they are quite bulky so you need a solid desk. Its a weekend driver. The Funsr1v2 with the twist is more convenient I would say based on my v1 version. But the stroker is still in it’s early stages. By mid summer maybe even spring after they sell their v2 batches i’d expect a v3 that comes out. Hopefully falafel does a teardown of the v2 to see if the internals were changed.🌀 [Review] FUN SR1 2.0: Stroker With a Twist! Like the major thing that puts osr2 and sr6 further back in the options for the next device to buy is the fact they’re big and looks like it requires more setup and teardown(since i dont want devices permanently strapped to the desk). Cause it seems like the osr2, or at least the one i see g90ak selling is deskmount only since it doesnt look like a device you can hold, so you’d need a monitor arm or something attached to a desk?
The funsr seems like something that I could just use with my current setup considering if you wanted to do handsfree you can buy the clamps that are in the store that seem like quick/easy setup/teardown.
I do wonder what they could add for v3, or if it would just be general improvements. Would you say its worth to buy it now with the twist? Or wait for possible revision/upgrade or even to go for an osr2(since that would be like the next step in the multiaxis stuff that isn’t all the way that sr6 is)
Stuff like hearing about syncbot sleeve durability issues or the fsr1 belt slipping is good info for potential buyers.
Yeah, the SR series is not ergonomically friendly and requires a solid mount at all times. I made a desk out of 2x4’s for the SR’s because it needs to be mounted to something heavy.
Thinking of what the Funsr team is doing with the wire management to one side of the device, the v3 might head for USB ports on one side of the device to add things like a suction cap for the fleshlight case that you can plug in. But that is just brainstorming about the current tech.
Given the number of scripts with twist, it might be better to hold your $ and collect them until you ask around for v2 reviews before commiting to the purchase

I have a Keon which has been in a box pretty much ever since I got the Handy. The main benefit I think is that it is wireless and I guess for the average person the battery lasts long enough for a session. I think I only had it die on me once or twice. I struggled getting this connected to FapTap which caused me to end up getting a Handy.
The Handy is great for its simplicity, but since I got an FSR1 V1.0 (sadly I got it a few weeks before the V2.0 came out), I have been switching between the two here and there. The Handy is very quick to just plug in and get going, and I got a VR headset a couple of months ago and it is very easy to get this all going together.
The FSR1 V1.0 I have mainly been using with fleshlights as they don’t fit the Handy and I haven’t been really into modding things up a lot. I managed to modify a stand for an old PC monitor that I still had lying around and since then the height is actually perfect for mounting the FSR1 for me. The build quality is not as great, but the smoothness of the actions is noticeably better than the Handy and if it was just a little easier to set up I would probably use this almost exclusively. However my issue has been setting it up with other devices, it has been easy to just plug it into my PC or laptop with USB, it very occasionally just disconnects the USB and then it becomes a pain in the butt to reconnect, usually I have to restart the brower and device which in the moment is pretty frustrating. Most annoying is I have been really struggling to get it going with my VR headset, it is not as simple as just putting in a connection code. I generally consider myself pretty tech savvy but setting up a fileshare server, running multiple programs and getting everything to connect up with my media software on VR has been nothing but frustrating. I still haven’t managed to get it working.
Though I will add, the FSR1 (even the 1.0) is to me at least, so much noticeably better in terms of well it works with the scripts and the actual action, that I just deal with the issues and if I end up not getting it fully working with VR then I still don’t really care too much, it’s still great haha. I am curious about the FSR1 V2.0 but as I only recently got the V1.0 I can’t justify getting another one for now, maybe if it breaks down or something.
Currently if I want to use VR then I use my Handy, anything else I use the FSR1.
The desk mount isn’t permanent. It’s a simple clamp that uses 1 knob to clamp it to your desk. Takes pretty much the same time to setup as a desk mounted handy with the exception that it needs 2 cables - data + power. I keep my OSR2+ plugged in and hidden in a desk drawer between uses. Takes me less than 10 seconds to take it out and clamp it to my desk for use. Putting on my VR headset and connecting to Oculus Link takes much longer in terms of setup vs the toy.
I agree that some of the SR versions are huge. SR6 with lube, heater, twist, etc. - for sure. However, if you don’t get all the options, they aren’t “that” big considering they can move on multiple axis and are “modular” and can be maintained and repaired by the user easily.

Wanted to add my two cents, too.
What I had up to now are the Keon, an OSR2+ and now an SR6 with a twistmodule.
The Keon wasn´t that great. The deskmount broke after 2 weeks and there were a ton of speed/syncissues. For the price I can´t recommend it. It was a nice way to get into this all, but nothing more.
The OSR2+ was great. Had it with a deskmount and especially the twistmodule added a ton to it, depending on the insert/fleshlight. Downside here was, that I got it with relatively loud motors, so you could hear it. A lot. Especially during anything that wasn´t a PMV or something similar where you had music blasting. But it was a huge upgrade to the Keon. You could even use more complex scripts or configure it that it took advantage of the added axis/twist at random (there is a guide somewhere here)
The SR6 I got a few weeks ago. To some degree because I wanted quieter motors, some of the screws of the OSR2 started to get loose more and more often (have to add that I used it a lot, I bet replacing the one part that has the issues would be enough), and as the smallest reason take advantage of the additional movements.
And I have to say: If you get scripts that have all the files necessary to take full advantage of the SR6, this is a huge difference. Even to the OSR2+ Downside here is, those scripts are rare, so…
At the end of the day I can recommend both the OSR2 and SR6, but if you mostly go for single axis-stuff and know it will stay this way, I wouldn´t spend the additional money and go for the OSR2+ or SSR1. Rather be sure you get quiet motors, because that makes a ton of difference. And in any case the twistmodule, which is the biggest upgrade in my mind (motor broke on mine, and suddenly I knew again how big the difference is until I replaced it)
Also, have to agree that it´s quickly removable with a good deskclamp. Including cables it takes less than a minute to take it off and put it away, so…

The main question I would have is how worth it is the twist module exactly. Cause g90ak sells his own version with quiet motors but he doesn’t do twist. The OSR2+ with a twist on yourhobbiescustomized i think should be the louder motors and they’re not as clean/neat looking as g90ak’s looks and quieter motors would be something someone would look for.
One of the reasons why FUNSR came into my interest was the fact it added twist cause I’ve only had the 1 axis strokers(syncbot is weird and doesnt necessarily count since its not necessarily a funscript device and its strokes aren’t great)
I got mine with a not yet attached twistmodule and it took maybe 20 minutes to add it to the SR6. And I´m not in any way good at building stuff. As long as the cable to connect the twist to is already present this shouldn´t be an issue if you just have a picture of how it´s supposed to look.
Motors can be changed or you can ask the person you´re buying this off if they can add a quiet motor for an upcharge. Or you replace it yourself later. This was a bit more complex than adding the Twistmodule in general, but still easily doable as long as you keep track of the screws.
And I can just press this: Even if most scripts have none specifically for the twismodule, you can config it in a way that as long as there´s no specific script the software still adds motion according to another axis+some randomfactor I think. So…
Otherwise get the OSR2 first and add the twistmodule later, it´s no big issue to do this
But if you only want one axis go for the single axis-one. I don´t know if you might like it or not, or how big the pricedifference is, but with a quiet motor and a twist it´s an already great upgrade. You can move up/get a more complex one later on anyways, and we both don´t know if by then there´s an even better device anyways.
Bottomline is: If I had to pick an OSR2 or an SR6 without a twist or a single axis stroker with a twist, I would pick the single axis stroker with a twist. Depending on the sleeve the difference is insane. Hope this helped

FUNSR1 with a twist with the mount is around 240-250 usd
OSR2+ with a twist is about 280 usd
g90’s OSR2+ with quiet motors is like 265 usd
the twist receiver is 50 usd.
Iirc g90’s should do roll and pitch so if its not too much of a pain to add on the twist receiver, that might be an option. This is all around the 300ish range before shipping and its not like its double the price so its about weighing opportunity cost, difficulty of installation and what not.
Being a “seller” of OSR2+s, I wouldn’t be a good source to conduct an independent unbiased review. Additionally, power supply, servos, sleeve usage, software settings, etc. can all affect performance of the SR’s, so having a universal comparison of SRs vs. mass produced units would be pretty difficult unless there was a single reviewer has the time and methodology to get a real apples to apples comparison.

I am assuming your models would be compatible with adding the twist module as an aftermarket mod? This is out of my wheel house of knowledge since i just buy fully done models.
Like I don’t know if this would require programming in to add twist to the board or w/e. The only thing i could see is unbolt old receiver, replace with new one and find wherever the wires go.
Honestly if I was doing it all over again, I would have bitten the bullet and gotten a OSR2+ from @g90ak on day one (even more of a no brainer if you based in the US). Everything else is just beating around the bush at the end of the day. I started with the original FUNSR1, it broke after about 3 months. Now have an OSR2+ and honestly regret wasting money and time considering anything else.
People have their own opinions on the twist. It is nice, but most of the time I have to set it to about 25% of its full range anyway to avoid twisting my dick off with most scripts. If I was doing it again I probably wouldn’t bother with it.

Yes, apart from installing M3 heat inserts to the twist receiver (will take less than 5 min if you have a soldering iron), it’s fully compatible. My PCB even has a specific output/socket for twist, so you don’t need to splice any wires, you just plug it in.

Like you, I’ve had multiple devices…the original Launch, Keon, Handy, etc. The Handy is great but your pretty limited with the sleeves. I tried to mod it to accommodate a Fleshlight sleeve, which worked, but it killed the accuracy and speed. The Launch, Keon, etc all are just ok.
I just got the OSR2+ from g90ak and my mind was blown. Wish I hopped on this earlier but I was worried that a DIY stroker would feel DIY. This isn’t the case with what I received. I can now use Fleshlight sleeves with great speed, accuracy, extra motion, and hands free. I celebrated by ordering 4 more sleeves + 2 extra due to the Black Friday deal lol.
oh i assumed the twist model off mosaic’s site would just be ready for that. more things to consider i suppose.
edit: soldering iron and inserts are cheap, so this shouldnt be a concern i suppose
