This past weekend my power supply started malfunctioning and long story short, it’s blown the power bus unit in my OSR2. I am now looking to replace my OSR2 (at least the components that need to be replaced) to get back up and running.
My setup consists of:
-OSR2
-pitch servo add-on
-iLube add-on
-twist add-on
-T valve add-on
And now the caveat of my build and the components:
I was a very early adopter of the OSR unit, I purchased it way back in 2020 when the first units were being built and offered commercially; that being case, my build is obviously built around the Romeo BLE board, and NOT the ESP32.
I reached out to the guy who built my unit originally to see if he had any extra power bus left over that I could purchase but unfortunately he does not and does not intend to restock them… So I guess I’m shit out of luck in this case, cause that would’ve been the cheapest and easiest way to get back up and running.
So now, I’m considering switching over to the ESP32 setup instead as it seems to be what everyone is using for commercial builds; but of course this will require a new case to house the chip and a new power bus.
I’m looking for a vendor who is willing to sell me the case/base(and lid) along with and whatever chip/board(s) that are required for all the components in my build at a reasonable price.
Is there anyone in here who’s willing to help me out?
