FUNSR1 - the better Handy - my detailed review

Sure. That doesn’t make your statement that “there are really no downsides with the SR1” any less verifiably false.

No, it’s not false. Why is it false, if this is my personal experience and opinion on it? For me there is no downside. Maybe for you, I respect it.

I love the device because it handles much heavier and larger onaholes giving some weight to what’s happening in 2D/VR. It has significantly reduced my usage of the Handy.

Anyone Know ho to connect The FunSR1 to the ScriptPlayer ?

You add it as a serial device to intiface, then connect intifact to scriptplayer.

Check out this tutorial here: OSR2/SR6 to Intiface Central connection unofficial rough guide

Thank you, code worked! Got mine about a week ago now, your review is spot on. It’s superior to handy without a doubt… however the handy is still king when it comes to online play that can’t be disputed. I shortly ordered their quiet SR6 as well to replace my current which is stupid loud. Hoping it as well built as this FUNSR1.

What do you mean by online play? Does the FUNSR1 not work on FapTap or something?

It will work fine on Faptap, I meant that it is more supported on some websites, like Adulttime, who don’t currently support its useage yet I don’t think…However the performance alone outweighs that imo, as I use offline scripts the majority of the time.

If handy is a generic sedan
SR1 is a giant pickup truck.

Using heavy sleeves at high speeds is a
is a huge advantage.

This pretty much is a summarize of my review ^^

It should work with FapTap, because FapTap allows Intiface connection. SR1 won’t work on sites like Adulttime as @Endlessdream said. They have build in Handy support. But if you mainly use offline videos / scripts, there is no problem.

Thanks for the detailed review. I just received my FunSR1, and after only a small amount of frustration I got it working with Intiface and ScriptPlayer. Now I’m having a problem getting it to work with Heresphere.

In ScriptPlayer I’ve entered my IP and Port for Heresphere. Then under Video Player, I switch from Local to Heresphere. When I put my headset on and open Heresphere, ScriptPlayer displays “Heresphere” and "connected. "

In Heresphere, timestamp server is enabled. When I play a video, I get a “no script found” message in ScriptPlayer, the video plays in Heresphere, and the device doesn’t move. The heatmap doesn’t display anything either.

And ideas what’s going on here?

Edit: I keep getting a “no script found” message not “no video found.”

So you are using ScriptPlayer to connect to Heresphere?

Have you tried it with MultiFunPlayer? I using MFP and it works without any issues.

Yes, I’ve got no problem with ScriptPlayer connecting to Heresphere. It’s just that when I play a video, there’s no movement and ScriptPlayer says “no script found.”

For some reason I thought you were connecting to Heresphere with ScriptPlayer. I’ll try MultiFunPlayer, but I remember having a problem trying to install it in the past.

Weird that you get the “no script found” message. If it’s successfully connected it should catch the script by itself then.

Give it a try with MultiFunPlayer and if you run in any problems, let me know.

Okay so I’ve got MFP installed and my FUNSR1 connected. Everything seems to work perfectly when I play something on my computer. Connecting to Heresphere is also no problem. It says that I’m connected, but when I play a video in Heresphere there is no movement. There’s also no heatmap in Heresphere or MFP. MFP does show the title of what’s being played in Heresphere so they’re clearly communicating with each other. Basically this looks like the same experience I was having with ScriptPlayer.

Hmm, weird.
Did you do this?

  • Click connect (NOTE: DeoVR, Whirligig and HereSphere require you to enable remote server/control support in their settings)

Are you playing local files or from XBVR?
If you are playing local files then make sure the script file has the same name as the video file.

Is there a stated range on this device to compare it to The Handy? Can anyone measure it since it’s not on the page for the device anywhere.
