@juli0r Sadly, running on DeoVR, there were so many bugs (and in such a short trial), I had to downgrade the FW immediately.
I hope it gets fixed. The instant FS load was pretty cool.

Thanks, appreciate it!
I’m sorry to hear that you’ve had a bad experience! I think SLR just released a fix that should prevent two scripts from “playing” at the same time. This double script issue was a problem the last few weeks if you had multiple players open simultaneously.
Could you describe your issues in more detail?
^ from my prior post.
I didn’t have two players open when a script got locked into the Handy. I noticed there was an issue when I paused the video I was watching and the script kept playing.
When I exited the PMV movie, the script still played, and continued playing even after starting another movie which had no onscreen “action” at the time.
The power button didn’t stop the script and I had to unplug the power.
Just a reminder, this was on a Quest 3 and I only tested it with streaming on SLR using the DEO VR player app.
I’ve been back on FW4 for a couple of weeks. The servers seem much more stable lately. The one issue I see regularly - which has been reported by others - is that switching between scripts too quickly causes the Handy to stop responding to commands. I have to unplug it to get things working again.
My cup mount’s threaded screw came out of the plastic housing and I couldn’t get it to stay reliably, so I have to get handy with my Handy for a few days until my replacement mount shows up from TheHandy.com. I sure wish I could have picked one up on Amazon and gotten it in 2 days for free instead of paying $20 for 3 day rush shipping though.
Thanks for providing more details!
SLR is pushing out an update that should fix this now. SLR has switched to the new HSP mode. Instead of sending the entire script to the device, they are sending over parts of the script at a time. When switching between scripts, you will need to call HSP/SETUP. This is implemented in the latest update.
Noted! We will investigate. What service did you use when it failed?
It happens very consistently if I switch videos in less than 1 minute with HereSphere loading scripts from xbvr.
Thank you. We will investigate
I’m having this issue as well.
Other than the script switching thing, I’m really liking the lack of any real size limit on scripts in FW4. I’d think this would be a bigger deal for the longer videos and more complex scripts.
Hi, my device after updating to v4.13 started having problems, specifically it started knocking, banging. That’s why I went back to software v3. Unfortunately, after a few days of use it started making strange sounds, knocking and more… Now after switching on only the rainbow flashes and the engine keeps moving down. Nothing helps, according to the instructions I tried to tighten the screw but it was tightened..

Please help because this is the second situation, with the second device shortly after the warranty expired..
After ~10 minutes LED is flashing white/red but it’s lasts forever…
Hi
Reach out to customer support, and they can help you out further.
Ok, thanks for reply
Is there an ETA on when this HSP will be implemented. Got 2 handy’s, but script only uploading to 1 kills my plans until then.
Goal nr 1 is to get the new API and FW to a state where you guys are happy so we can release it fully. We are in no rush here, so we are taking our time.
Channel HSP support is part of our roadmap and has high priority. ETA is autumn this year.
4,14 is out
I will receive my Handy in a few days and im unsure what fw to use even before getting the package.
Have you tried FW 4.0.14 and still notice the issues you have outlined here? Would you recommend using FW3 or FW4 or should i try both when my package arrives?
I tried FW 4.0.14 for a couple of sessions and must say it works and feels great.
The movement issues and robotic feeling of 4.0.10 are gone. I like the connecting to wifi immediately although mine was set to bluetooth by default somehow, had to change it in the onboarding app. Will stay on this one.
