Hello, i’ve found about mechanical toys 3 days ago, and binge read all the content about it - my mind is fucking gone.
This forum is the most amazing one so far that ive decided to create topic here.
Anyways, i want to buy one. Im looking mostly for hands-free experience. Desirable - multi-axis and high speed (the video tests and the script previews with the cylinder gizmo looked very fun).
Here are the 5 candidates im deciding from:
Kiiro Keon + table stand - ~355USD
The handy + deck mount - 443USD
FunOSR2 Twist, T-Valve with H200-1 + VESA - 400USD
FunOSR2 Twist with H200-1 + VESA - ~382USD
FunSR1 Twist + VESA - ~302USD
I havent included the SR6 in the list because the version with good servos is pricey.
Ive did some research, and i think handy and keon are insane overpriced in my country (official stores do not accept payments from here).
So this lefts me with 3 choices if im correct and some questions that i myself havent found answers to:
Do i need T-Valve in OSR2?
Is it a good practice buying OSR toy as my first one?
Maybe theres some better options outside of that list (i havent found any)?
Or maybe it will be WAAY cheaper to build my own OSR…
The OSR2+ is better than the Handy but much louder. My SR6 is even better than that. Louder than the handy but quieter than my OSR (Just different servos, even tho I did opt for the quiet version of the OSR). Id skip the T-valve tho, adds A LOT of noise. The added motions of the SR6 is just awesome. Dont forget you’d need to get a Fleshlight to use either the OSR or SR6 effectively. Adds more cost, but SOOOO worth it.
Obviously the Handy setup is a bit easier, but if you can set it up with your network you can probably handle the OSR/SR6 setup also (just download and install a couple drivers and get it connected with MFP, pretty easy really). Once you get either the OSR or SR6 all set up and configured with MultiFunPlayer (MultiFunPlayer v1.33.1 - Multi-axis funscript player with SLR & FapTap support) and all that its pretty easy to use. They are even better if you have VR.
If you’re looking for multi-axis Keon and The Handy are automatically off that list. Also I wouldn’t buy The Handy at that price, one of the selling points is it being more affordable, at that price range you might as well shell out for the osr or sr6.
Out of the options available you’re better off just buying an osr or an sr6. There’s nothing on the market that really compares to those two types of devices. Building your own version is its own mess and is for those that are interested/have the know how.
T-valve is unnecessary addition. You can probably get a decent enough suction with the Boost Cap from Fleshlight.
I’ve recently gotten into this whole scene myself. I started with the Keon Kiiroo, the battery life was just a little short, so I modified it with my own power supply, and for slow scripts it is actually awesome, even for fast scripts like HMVs it adapts in a way that I don’t mind. I can also put my Fleshlight sleeves into the Keon case and it seems to work, which was a nice bonus because I already had a Fleshlight.
Then I bought an OSR2, basic model, which has only up down and roll left to right, but it kept up with those fast scripts and had some power to the thrusts that the Keon just can’t match. I found the OSR2 less pleasurable during slow scripts honestly, it almost seemed too robotic if that makes sense, but this is all subjective.
I had to replace a servo on my OSR2 only about 2 months in as well, while my Keon keeps going strong (well as strong as it can anyway).
I do want to try the SR6, but I don’t care for the heat or the auto lube function, I just want the multi-axis function and the better servos. I found during some scenes the OSR2 would just die for a moment, this issue was more pronounced with the Fleshlight cap tightened down so as to add max suction, and the two 20kg servos just can’t handle that back pressure, I don’t think. But if I loosen that stock cap enough to let it breath a bit, it was all good.
I don’t know, I’m ranting a little here hehe, hopefully you get something out of my experience though. I ultimately think that the SR6 will be worth the money and kind of wish I would have just started with it, but hindsight is 20-20 right? Oh well.
If you have a 3D printer, I highly recommend building your own OSR2 first. Start with the base model, but use a lid design which has a cooling fan. Cooling is very important if you expect to be using a lot of fast scripts.
That will give you a device which goes up and down as well as tilting side to side. It’s enough to let you figure out how exactly you want to mount it, and whether or not you even like it.
You can decide from there if you want to add tilt and twist functionality.
It’s very much a rabbit hole you can explore, which means if you try to nail down exactly what you want before you get started, you’ll never actually start. That’s why I recommend going with the basic design to begin with, then expanding from there.
I also recommend either noise-cancelling headphones or ear buds, as servos tend to be loud. That’s the biggest drawback to the OSR2.
To simply answer your question of what do I personally think is the best candidate from your list, it’s the FunOSR2 Twist with H200-1 + VESA - ~382USD.
However do I recommend you go for it? Hell no.
Why?
My reason for this is because of two factors, first is that you only just found out about this stuff 3-ish days ago so your still riding the Hype train of Discovery where everything seems PERFECT.
The second factor which is also more serious is that your going straight into the deep end of these toys by going for multi-axis and so high cost. You haven’t even tried an single axis stroker to see if just the basic slap together thing does work/appeal to you and your body. As there’s been many people whom have gone and gotten an multi-axis device like OSR2 or SR6 even and resold it on this forum, some of them even used an single axis stroker and went straight back to it.
My Recomendation
As a result my recommendation is instead something different, go basic setup get an second hand Handy ($145-ish Handy being sold on this site) and ask a friend or family member if you can borrow any sort of Stanley Multi Angle Hobby Vice and try that for an week or two. (It’s the easiest hands free setup in my opinion) Then from there mimic the multi-axis and twist feelings by using your hand to move the sleeve in that fashion since you’ll have had the Handy to show and give you the feeling of what you’ll be adding on to. After that you should have at least an vague idea as to how multi-axis, fast speed and of course hands free experience might be to then know better of what you want. (This is roughly how I progressed to an SR6 that I have now)
Because the king of multi-axis is SR6 hands down, you can upgrade to that from an OSR2 as you just need 3 more servos and some replacement 3D parts and case. (It’s also why I didn’t say T-Valve OSR2 since you can add that later and scripts for T-Valve are legendary-rarity) SSR1 is the fastest Single Axis stroker around however is not an finished product design wise (Tempest Max the maker of it and OSR2/SR6 has just recently release the Beta version of it to their Patreons) so it will have problems you will have to deal with. (more than the OSR2/SR6)
Also I recommend that if you do get an OSR2 get some spare 3D parts of the arms and the Twist clip gear spares made as I’ve had arms come broken and the clip of the gear break. Best if the gear is made of PETG instead of PLA material too since the latter makes the clip stiff and inflexible. Oh and while your at it, best to get some 3D printed adapters since the fleshlight is much bigger than onaholes but even some onaholes are differently sized…Handy sleeves meanwhile squish flat. M0SAIC’s Store website has most OSR2/SR6 stuff on it except servos. (Spare servos are best brought in batches rather than one at a time in my view)
Personally I fiend my self fucking loving the Kiiroo it is small lightweight very good in the had easy to store do not need any wires simple to connect only need a few passwords or use offline.
Has some down sides but it really is just handy to use is it the best maybe not but all the reason above and probably more keep me from setting up the osr2++twist
The biggest downside I would say about the Kiiroo it Rolls around pretty easy so don’t put it anywhere it might fall onto the floor
Oh yeah OSR2/SR6 has two cables you need to deal with the USB one being annoying sometimes to plug in. Also if you have an setup/mount solution that you must rebuild and disassemble each time you want to use it then that’s an pain too. But both of those can be solved by leaving the USB cable plugged in and using an monitor arm you can just lay down or attach to something else for storage. The weight can’t be solved really though… so yeah they aren’t portable at all really due to that and their bulkiness and fragility.
Yep as the OSR2/SR6 have sturdy mounting required to use they don’t have this problem and Handy has plenty of options now to hold it safely though I don’t like the look of their Branded solution especially as it took them so long to produce it.
PS OSR2 and SR6 basic models are pretty much the same as the only difference is the extra axis of movement (and weight limit) which honestly you need good scripts to take advantage of them as they need to work together to produce the best feeling. (Surge and Pitch is much better than just Pitch since you can make the angle be more extreme, same with Sway and Roll)
Your reasons to not buy it are completely valid, and im thinking the same, actually.
But to be completely valid, i have one of those chinese masturbators for ~20 bucks which i bought stoned, and it really lacks stroking mechanism and a bad device in general (duh). But it’s doing its job, i cant really complain.
Regarding the second hand Handy link that you sent:
I cant pay the seller, and he cant ship to me.
I might aswell just go for the basic SR1 with open reciever to “test the waters” as its the cheapest option. Buy some VESA stand later (or multi angle vice as you suggested). After that maybe twist adapter and so on… till the SR6
I’m a bit confused how the seller can’t ship to you nor can you pay them since bitcoin is used as an last resort for payment for an good reason. (I presume your US which as far as I know Estonia can ship to and they said themselves worldwide shipping on their post)
Have you sent them an message to see if they can ship actually to you and they are able to do bitcoin?
But in any-case I linked to the first one I found to be an example since Handy’s have been resold on here more than an few times in the past, so more are likely to appear. Here’s an search url you can use to quickly get all results from the Sales bit of the site that mention Handy: Search results for 'handy #general:sales in:title order:latest' - EroScripts
If you do get an SSR1 then I believe you can re-use an few of it’s parts to make an OSR2/SR6 but only the electronics/cables I think.
PS I didn’t even know that those Chinese masturbators were sold that cheap…jezz I would not use that in fear of it somehow catching on fire or ripping my dick off.
