ok i am back so i tested it again and still no dice however when i hook up my multimeter to the positive lead of both the power cable and the positive of my kiiro keon and check for current i do get a current value of .054 Amps so either my power supply is somehow suppling some extra current or some weird shit is goin on with this thing
got it working now. it was definitely the power supply that wasnt supplying enough current. so i went to walmart and got one that was supposed to power a sound bar aswell as it having changable voltage. still dont know how my multimeter was able to supply just enough current for the old one to work
Hey, I have terrible arthritis in my hands, I have a hard time doing small detail work. Any chance youâd be willing to modify mine with an AC adapter, if I buy a new unit & send it to you? Iâd pay a resonable fee if you would!

This advice worked great for me as my stock device just randomly stopped working. The terrible micro-USB charge port is incredibly loose and was/is swapping modes randomly on a charge, until it just stops responding. Discharging the thing with the power button and no battery really did the trick.

UPDATE;
I wrote this Tutorial in December 2021.
My Keon is still running fine.
Now with all the new accessories its a crazy good expierence. just mount it on my desk, start the pr0ns.
no heating problem, motor runs still as on the first day.

Sorry for the dumb question but can someone please explain what the second item on this list is adapter cable between the Power Adapter and the pcb? and where I can buy one in the USA? does the voltage matter? I was thinking about buying this on amazon but not sure if it worksâŚ
hey @xxxpoxxx its just a extension to not have the power supply unit to close to the keon, tell me what power supply are you getting i can look for the fitting extension.
the extension just matters in thickness to not get hot. every cable can do 14,8v. its just you have to choose the correct power supply
you could either cut the cabler of this power supply and solder it on or get any extension and a adapter
this one for example, and then get an extension you could connect so your keon never has to be connected all the time to the powersupply itself. i hope that helps

Got my Keon today and was very upset when that thing only lasted about an hour. So i ordred the parts and when they arrive i will mod this sucker.
For EU People there is a Power Adapter from Pollin atm for only 1,75âŹ. (15V 1,66A). I have no idea if that is enough but i will test it.

I have experience with power and motors, so just a couple of tips, you def have a higher chance of burning out the motor or getting overheat cut off using the 16.8v adapter. Yes a perfect battery like high quality samsung or lg cells etc does put out ~16.8v at 100% charge (using my multimeter to test the battery mine is only putting out 16.4v at 100%) It is not meant to run at 16.8v full duration especially at high speeds, and probably never reached that high with this battery.
Its much safer to get a 15v adapter which simulates the battery voltage running at a reasonable 80% charge (My keon thinks its 78%, so thats perfect)
Also the battery by specs only require 1 AMP,
10.36 Wh / 14.8 V = 0.7hrs , 700mAh / 0.7hrs = 1A
Basically, run a 15v 1a adapter and you will get the power of a battery at 80% without risking burning the motor (especially if you run at high speeds)

less than this and keon will not start.
Mine keon tened to stop at speed above like 4-5 idk why any ideas? using 15v 1a adapter. Edit only when using whit on me, when i use it whitout puting dick in all is ok, but when i put in it stop after like 10-20 sec or smg.
