More efficient way to play different varient of scripts for each video

Basically, I’m wondering if there is a more efficient way to load my scripts and videos into ScriptPlayer. Currently, say i have two versions of a script, Fast and Slow. The scripts have different names of course but in order to load each version of the script into Scriptplayer, I have to change the name of the video to match the scripts i want to use and then drag the video file into Scriptplayer to play it. Is this the best way? Or is the a faster way that doesn’t involve changing the name of the video to play each script version?

You could create symbolic links to the same video file for each of your alternative scripts:

Thank you! This might be just what i’m looking for

Another way could be to use the video filename from the metadata inside the script if a video with the same name as the script is not available, but I do not know if players support this.

In my version of ScriptPlayer (if I don’t care about it pulling in the matching script automatically) it doesn’t matter what the files are named. I can drag any video file and any script file into the player and play them together that way. This is how I handle multiple script versions. But I do like the symlink idea!

Thanks for the reply. That would be a great way as well. Only thing for me though would be I would have more icons in my folder. Right now, I keep the scripts hidden and only the video files are visible so its less cluttered. It would be great if there was a way to simply integrate the scripts into the video file. Oh well, between the Handy and these scripts, I really can’t complain. Years ago, I would never of imagined this would exist. Can’t wait to see what the future holds

We will be adding multiscript on sexlikereal with upcoming updates.

You can switch them like subtitles in videos.

For small videos I usually make a copy of the video and rename it to the alternative script name.
For longer videos, I usually like to keep the Hard script with same name as the video file and I keep the Soft/Easy/alternative script with same name plus the tag, in case I want to try it or if I find the hard version too hard.

funscripts should be integrated in video players like subtitles, then you could change the script as you would with subs languages.

I really like this implementation! Hopefully script player will follow suit. SLR is mainly VR right? I would have to use a VR headset to use the app?

Right. You would enjoy one of these What’s the best headset for VR porn

I noticed that when you move a Symlink file along with the original file from one drive to another, you lose the Symlink and it duplicates the original file instead. Is there anyway to stop that from happening? My worry is that one day, i’ll move my entire collection to a different/new drive and all the Symlink files will disappear and the all the original files will duplicate making my collection take up a lot more space.

The symlink is seen as a copy of the original file, so it creates a copy if you move/copy folders or files the regular way. The drive that you copy the files to needs to support symlinks as well (double check it is formatted as NTFS).
If it is a supported then you can use linkshell extension for your “folder migration” as well. Drop the folder with rightclick held down to its destination drive, but this time chose the option “symbolic Link copy”. It will recreate the entire folder structure including relative symlinks.

Ah okay, I see that. That’s perfect! Thank you for being so thorough with all of this. This is great. Thank you again
