Something like an intensity level? That’s a neat idea. It may be a little weird with cock/fap heroes since their rounds are usually categorized by intensity.

Yeah exactly like an intensity level. It could be a new attribute, instead of a tag. So people can search by a range of intensity. In the future this can be automated, by letting a module go through the uploaded script, determine the intensity automatically and give a proposal.

I’ve updated the list of tags in the OP and what’s available to everyone.
I don’t have much control over the tagging system unfortunately so it is what it is.
And as for a tag around intensity level, I’d like to get some more discussion and consensus before adding that.

The more tags the better. I would never search for cosplay, but I definitely want to see lingerie videos. I love BDSM, but femdom is an entire different category. It’s just not good to limit tags. Duplicates are the problem in a tagging system.

I still think adding “straight” would be a good idea. It would allow for making a distinction between a video with part-solo and part het sex, and a video with only solo content.
Doesn’t femdom fall under the D/S part of BDSM?

Taking action based on this other discussion.
I will remove the mandatory 1 tag requirement. I will promote a handful of users to a higher trust level, giving them the ability to create tags as well as edit other people’s posts (in order to add tags). The plan is to basically crowd-source tags.
We’ll give this a try and see how it goes.

Not really. When searching porn BDSM usually brings up maledom and such while femdom is specifically femdom.

Well, are you searching for specifically femdom or just 100’s of things that could be considered BDSM? It’s just a broad out of range category. Maledom, Femdom, and Bondage make way more sense and are specific to what a user would be searching…

Usually I’m searching for lezdom, but that’s not important right now.
It’s not that I’m not all for more specific tags, but I’ve gotten the impression from @hugecat’s comments that there are limits to how much that’s feasible for this forum software, so having some things under big umbrella categories might be unavoidable.

in terms of feasibility, what you see right now is what you get.
Users with a high trust level are able to create tags and mods can manage them I believe.
The issue is more about balancing granularity with brevity. I’d like a list of tags that at a high level can hit all the bases people want, be easy to tag off the top of your head, and unified enough to search without too much digging.

Taking a look at the tag usage on scripts right now, some include many tags, some include one tag, and some include none.
This inconsistent use of tags is still helpful for browsing through the list, but loses a lot of power if you want to search using tags. What are people’s opinions on tag usage right now? Is this something we should be looking to increase? Is it the poster’s job, or perhaps more of a crowd sourced task?

The VR tag is more or less the only thing I look at. Since almost no VR videos are available as full length on pornhub and similar sites it all comes around to if I have the video or not anyway. If I have the video then I’m most likely interested in trying the script regardless.
Tags are probably more useful when there is a video link where you can download the video. A tag for “video link available” might be good. Some use a pornhub tag, but there are other sites as well so a more generic one is probably better. If you know that you can get the video then you are probably interested of the type of video and other tags can help with that.

I like this Idea, I can commit to starting to add that tag to Posts later today. I need to go to bed. 
The last topics I have created showed me this tags as option so I thought “ok thats all” and skipped that part.
I thought searching is only necessary if the list is too big but the list seems to show only the top tags.
I guess some other members also do not know this.

Yep, I thought so too. Some of the tags I originally suggested did actually already exist, I just didn’t know for the same reason.
If only the dropdown worked more like the tags filter used when browsing the forums. That one at least displays all the tags that have been used so far.
I think I can increase the number shown in the dropdown. But too many and there can be usability problems.
