More tags to help categorize scripts

I just noticed the CGI tag last night and was thinking the same thing. I will keep this in mind going forward.

yeah and then we get back to the issue of having too many tags to figure out which one to use lol…

For reference, there’s the OP post here and EroScripts, which only shows tags that have >1 use (I think mods can also see unused tags)

I’d like to propose removing the #pornhub and #patreon tags. imo they don’t tell you anything about the content of the video itself.

I also want to remove the #launch, #handy, and #osr tags. Scripts for these devices can (for the most part) be played with any other device. And currently in the #scripts category, people are already saying which devices they were tested with.

I think there should be some more tags regarding the format, video availability, etc as they would be useful for an example, someone looking for direct download, IRL videos with scripts.

Format: irl (so people can filter out any drawn content. we already have hentai and cgi)
Availability: direct-download, stream-link (link to a video streaming site. have this instead of #pornhub), paid-video (videos you have to buy/subscribe to service)
Video Resolution: low-res (under 720p), 720p (1280x720px), 1080p (1920x1080), 4k (3840x2160) (we already have 8k)

Those are some that I can think on top of my head that are missing

that’s a good way of breaking it down.

I definitely think that Format is important.

For Availability, maybe that’s helpful? But this seems difficult to keep up to date. For example, if a post has multiple video links, when a link gets taken down, when someone in the comments posts another link. If we do keep it, I think tags like #pornhub are maybe too specific. This seems like it would generalize to something like #pay-to-download, #pay-to-stream, #direct-download.

For Video Resolution, I don’t personally don’t find them that helpful (except to call out VR), but I don’t have a super strong opinion either way.
