So you want to watch VR Porn in 23/24? [Review/Experience Share]

With new VR headsets emerging and new and old VR Porn sites existing, it might be a little bit hard to find a good start to enjoy your most immersive porn experience. So I’m going to share my experience with you, giving you a good amount of information to get the best experience without having to waste money.

I’m going to share my recommendation for a VR headset, my experience with different interactive toys and my experience with 6 different VR Porn websites.

Starting with the VR headset, the main piece to enjoy VR porn.
I’ve started my VR experience with the Oculus Quest and used the Oculus Quest 2 for a long time now. While the Oculus Quest 2 was a great update to the first Quest it had it’s fair share of problems over the time, mainly the fact that both of my controllers developed controller drift with their thumbsticks within 1 year of standard usage, after purchase. The graphics are not bad, but it’s noticeable that they are not too immersive and immersion is one of the main factors for a good VR experience. It’s good that the Meta Quest 3 released, because as my newest VR headset the Meta Quest 3 is a great upgrade. The graphics reached a high quality now and the mixed reality makes the usage much more comfortable.
If you have the money I would recommend buying the Meta Quest 3 or if you want to go for a cheaper option the Meta Quest 2 is still good enough, even though you will probably upgrade to the Meta Quest 3 at some point.
I do not recommend to buy from the official online shop though. I just recently experienced how they treat customers and practically after preordering the Quest 3 there and never receiving it, with the support not doing anything and wasting my time, I had to use my buyer’s protection of my payment method to get my money back. So if you want to order, I would recommend an online electronic store that you trust or Amazon.
My experience is from the German Meta store though, so depending on where you live they might be more trustworthy.

Both of the Meta Quest 3 and the Meta Quest 2 are standalone VR headsets and don’t require you to own a VR capable PC. So they are well suited for an easy to enjoy VR Porn experience without any unecessary cables.

For the best viewing experience, you will need a VR media player on your headset and the ones that allow you to connect with an interactive toy are a must if you want the full immersion. I personally use DeoVR, but it really is only good in combination with their own VR Porn website and does a decent job in playback of local videos. For a more universal option Heresphere and Pigasus VR are quite good. As much as I know Pigasus VR is local videos only.

The next important feature is the interactive toy you want to use or already own. Because not every toy is supported and the one with the most support is the Handy. When it comes to the interactive part, I’ve tried the Handy and Kiiroo Keon. At least they are the ones that are more or less easy to acquire, setup and maintain. Plus they are the ones with the most support of scripts at the moment. I never tried the Fleshligh Launch, because the Kiiroo Keon can also be used with Fleshlight Sleeves and is smaller. I also tried the Kiiroo Titan and the Lovense Max 2 and came to the conclusion that they are either too loud or just not good enough as an experience.
So the Handy is at the moment my recommended and preferred interactive toy.
With the simple design being a single motor for up and down movement and a sleeve attached with a velcro band, there is a lot of room for different sleeves and the main experience is easy to setup and clean afterwards. Most of the scripts are designed for the Handy and the Wifi connection it uses, works very well. The Handy is quite silent, but over time the standard lubricant for the motor uses up and it can get quite noisy, so manual reapplying of lubricant is necessary to keep the noise down and the movement smooth. It works fine without reapplying any lubricant, but the noise will be more noticeable. Also it heats up very easily. But cleaning couldn’t be easier, the sleeve is flexible enough to turn the inside out and a little bit of soap and water or water and toycleaner and the toy is clean again. Drying the sleeve can be very easily done by air drying or by using nano fiber cloth or some paper towels.

Kiiroo’s Keon is a little bit harder to maintain. While the Handy uses a power cable for usage, Kiiroo’s Keon needs to be charged and has a limited run time because of that. So longer sessions could be interrupted. The Keon uses their own FeelStrokers to be locked in place and then simulates up and down movement, making it compatible with most of the Handy scripts, but it’s not as smooth as the Handy, because it has a lower top speed and struggles with scripts that use all of the Handy’s potential. The Feelstroker Cases can also use Fleshlight Sleeves and generally are the main selling point of the Keon, since the Feelstroker Sleeves and the Fleshlight Sleeves have an amazing feeling. The Keon is harder to setup since it uses a Bluetooth connection and needs a separate app or software most of the time to be used for interactive scripts. This Bluetooth connection also struggles sometimes with synchronisation to the video and sadly destroys the immersion. Cleaning the sleeves is also a lot harder, you can’t completely flip them inside out to make sure everything is clean and dry afterwards. My method involved partial flipping and drying by inserting a rolled up paper towel to dry afterwards. The general cleaning with running water is not to problematic, because they are open ended sleeves.

I generally would recommend the Handy for the easiest setup, but can’t deny that the Feelstroker and Fleshlight sleeves are the best for a very immersive experience. They are sadly not optimised to work with the Handy, but with a little bit of tinkering you can use them, too. It’s just not optimal.

So now to the last part the VR content:

One of the more accesible sites for a wide range of content is Sexlikereal. They are practically like Pornhub when it comes to variety and quality. Some of the videos are good and some of them are not. Visual quality is not consistent, but they have really good interactive scripts. Sadly they decided to release a lot of AI generated scripts, which are not as good as handcrafted scripts and it will take a good amount of time before they really reach the handcrafted feel. The subscription is one of the cheaper one and even though the content is not consistent in quality, the lifetime subscription might be a choice to think about. SLR works very well with DeoVR. It is also probably the only western VR Porn website that has JAV VR content. It is not too much of good quality JAV VR, but it’s probably the easiest way for most people. If you don’t subscribe you can also just buy videos and/or scripts on their site. SLR has a lot of compatible toy options and works very well with the Handy and in a good amount with the Keon.

The second website I want to share my experience about, is WankzVR.
From all the websites in this review/experience share, it is sadly the one with the worst overall quality. WankzVR has an acceptable quality with newer videos, but their old videos didn’t age very well. To a point where videos from 2020 and before are just not immersive. Even their newer videos are more or less a gamble and don’t compare to other websites that I tried. They are enjoyable and some of them are really good, but most of the older ones are just not good in quality.
WankzVR offers interactive scripts, but again all of the older ones are not very good and the new ones, are more or less acceptable, but don’t compare to handcrafted scripts from EroScript creators.

The next website is BadoinkVR, their overall quality is good and even the older videos are not too bad. Their subscription service is acceptable in the price range, but not too good. They offer scripts for the Handy. The same scripts can also be used with the Keon. I sadly wasn’t able to test them yet, but they also don’t offer too much of a variety, so you probably want to search for scripts here on EroScripts. BadoinkVR needs you to download the videos for integration with the Meta Quest 2 and Meta Quest 3. So you need a lot of storage space and a cable to connect your headset to your PC for video transfer. Afterwards you can disconnect the cable and watch it normally.
But for the best experience I would generally recommend downloading the videos and watch them locally, since streaming always caps your quality.

Since BadoinkVR needs you to download the videos, they offer unlimited download with the subscription and the download rate is stable. (This depends on your internet connection.)

Another website that is part of the same network is VRCosplayX, it practically has similar quality to BadoinkVR, but is cosplay themed. They offer a nice variety of cosplay themes and their newer videos have a nice quality. Even the older videos are still enjoyable. VRCosplayX also offers scripts, but way less than BadoinkVR. So your best chance for scripts is EroScripts. Their pricing is actually not bad and might even be worth a lifetime subscription. One thing has bothers me though, is that a lot of the videos really only have the character in cosplay and everything else is just a normal standard room. Sometimes with a little bit of decoration and rarely a full setting. But overall they have a good experience to enjoy. They also don’t offer any streaming integration for the Meta Quest 2 and Meta Quest 3, so you need to download the videos, but this really doesn’t hurt the experience.

The next website is probably the best, that I’ve ever tried. At least quality wise.
VRBangers newer videos have the best quality from all of the videos that I’ve watched. The overall quality of their videos from new to old is quite consistent and no of the websites that I’ve mentioned so far give you anything in the same quality. Their pricing is very reasonable and if you would like a lifetime membership, this website will probably give you the best quality for your money. They offer a variety of content themes and most of their videos are very enjoyable, with the newest ones being consistent in their quality. They don’t offer interactive scripts, but EroScripts has a good amount of scripts for this website and one of their other network sites, recently added interactive scripts to their VR visual novel game experience. I wrote a review about their new scripts and the overall experience, if you want to check it out.
So there is a good chance, that scripts will probably be added in the near future, no guarantee on that though. Their website has a streaming option with the Play’a VR media player and work very well with that. If you want to use scripts with their videos, you will need to download them though for local playback and sadly the downloads lose connection from time to time, so you manually need to continue the download. This doesn’t delete the progress, but also means you can’t just let it run on it’s own.

The last website is from the same network as VRBangers:
VRconk is another cosplay themed website and is still quite new, this means that you don’t have a lot of videos in comparison to the other websites. But it’s quality is right up there with VRBangers, and offers the best quality VR cosplay porn as far as I know. Also since it’s not as old as the other websites, all of their videos are mostly high quality, with only a few exceptions and the amount of high quality videos is growing. When it comes to the cosplay theme, they offer in most of their videos a full setting, so that you are not just seeing someone in cosplay, but also have a matching location/setting and sometimes you are even in cosplay. They sadly don’t offer the variety that VRcosplayX has at the moment, but VRconk is adding more and more themes. VRconk has integration with the Play’a VR media player and works good with it. They don’t offer any interactive scripts, but EroScripts has a good amount covered. The pricing is again quite good and the lifetime subscription is quite cheap in comparison to other sites, since they are still in the process of building up and adding content. Again at the moment this would probably be a better choice for a lifetime subscription. Since they practically work similar to VRBangers, you would also need to download the videos for the full interactive experience. But VRconk has a more stable connection, than VRBangers.

One of the things I didn’t talk about is the UI of the websites and practically to answer this quickly, BadoinkVR and VRcosplayX don’t have any integration for the Meta Quest 2 and Meta Quest 3, so they don’t have any good UI in VR. They also have the worst account options. Since you can’t see what kind of subscription you have and how long until it’s being renewed unless, you are trying to cancel it. Wankzvr has also no real integration, you can use it with Play’a and DeoVR, but it really doesn’t shine there. The normal website just has an acceptable amount of user friendliness.
VRBangers and VRconk have a good UI and a perfect integration with Play’a , they are user friendly and easy to navigate.

Sexlikereal has the best UI and a perfect integration with DeoVR. Easy to access and easy to use. It has a lot of options to make searching for the right video in VR a good experience and the setup with the interactive toys is super easy as long as you use the Handy. If you use any other toy it can be a little bit complicated to get them to work.

My overall recommendation would be to buy the Meta Quest 3 and the Handy. Meta Quest 3 has a really good quality and gives you the best immersion when it comes to standalone VR headsets. The Handy is easy to use and easy to maintain. It works with a different sleeves and generally you don’t need anything else than their standard sleeve. But with a little bit of tinkering, you can get Feelstroker and Fleshlight sleeves to work with the Handy and get an even better experience.
When it comes to websites, VRBangers and VRconk offer the best quality, you have to rely on EroScripts at the moment, but the handcrafted scripts here are very good. If you want the easiest solution you probably would want to go with Sexlikereal. Most of their handcrafted scripts have a very high quality and the integration with DeoVR makes connection very easy. But the overall quality is not as good. The best immersion is still going to be VRBangers and VRconk with the video downloaded and a handcrafted script from EroScripts.

As a little bonus for all the JAV VR fans out there:
Adult Festa VR , is one of the best websites to use. A lot of their videos have compatibility for interactive toys, and with a few easy to use tools, you can extract and convert those scripts to work with the Handy. But the best part, next to the site being foreigner friendly with english translation, is the fact that you get to download the videos in mp4 format. No extra copyright protection player needed. They do offer an overpriced subscription service or the option to purchase the videos you want. The script quality is a true gamble, since they are not made for the Handy and older scripts are generally of bad quality. But if you ever wanted to start creating scripts, EroScripts has tutorials and guides to help you learn and with Adult Festa VR’s option to download the videos in mp4 format, you can easily create scripts yourself.

I hope that this Review/Experience share, helped at least some of you to decide on what to get and how to start. If you have other opinions or want to share your own experience, feel free to comment. Also this is no advertisement for any of the websites. I’m not paid by anyone and this is just my honest information about what works and what was a waste of money.

Feel free to ask if you want any additional information.

WankzVR/POVR and the Badoink/VRCosplayX networks both integrate with Herespehere (though it seems only a portion of the catalog will actually display even when logged in, around 7 pages of the most recent content), it is possible to get scripts to play via streaming integration but you need to load them locally into the headset with .funscript that matches the streaming title with illegal characters removed. I hadn’t heard about scripting support for the visual novel content from VRBangers, I’ll need to check that out.

Just to make sure there is no misunderstanding; The visual novel content from VRBangers is on their other network website dezyred. After my practically on release day review, they announced it officially and promote it on dezyred now. Practically every of their VR visual novel interactive games, have scripts now and work in the Play’a media player with the Handy.

Im going to repost my question I asked in the FapTap thread and edit it slightly.

I’m relatively tech savy but I believe due to the fast past nature of some VR apps I have been unable to get an answer on how I can achieve the results im looking for there is so many out of date threads and I just don’t have the time/energy to keep searching.

I’m using the original Vive Pro headset, for the life of me I cannot figure this out
https://i.imgur.com/aTLxgl7.png

Is it possible for me to access faptap/other VR streaming websites through chrome/firefox/edge (which say they are webXR compatible) connect a device then load up a 360 video into the headset? I swear it used to be possible to even watch a 360 youtube video in this manner.

Or do I need to use a 3rd party VR web browser, I tried DeoVR, Connected the device, but I couldnt get any videos (regular or VR) to stream on Faptap or WankzVR I know it should work for SLR as they discontinued their own app and recommended DeoVR (They have identical UI).

Is there another 3rd party app I should be using? I would like to be able to connect and stream to the VR headset rather than having to download any video and its related script and then use initface + scriptplayer. You mentioned DeoVR playing local files, will it also read and load up an associated funscript presuming you have them together? If not DeoVR would you recommend a different software? Last I checked Pigasus VR is only available on the Meta platform.

I’m willing to read and follow instructions i’ve just been overwhelmed in finding information thats actually up to date.

To answer the easiest question first: If you download your VR video and the associated funscript, you just need to rename the funscript to match the video name. It just needs to have the same name and then you put them into DeoVR’s interactive folder. I guess as long as you are able to select the folder inside of DeoVR you can also just use any other folder.

The Vive Pro is, if I remember correctly, just the headset and needs a VR capable PC. So you probably use SteamVR with it. DeoVR has not a good integration with WankzVR, it should work, but it’s not very good.

The thing I mostly read about those web browsers though, is that the WebXR compatibility is mostly for Android devices. Heresphere is available on Steam. So you should be able to use Heresphere for most streaming purposes, it also works with the Handy. I can’t guarantee that it works with FapTap, I never used FapTap before.

But as much as I used the Quest 2 in combination with my PC, normally if you are connected via SteamVR and navigate to the desired video site in chrome for example, it should normally allow you to watch the video right there. Are you using any other operating system than Windows?

Czech VR is also worth to mention. They offer videos and funscripts without to pay extra. I used it a long time and liked it. They don’t have a lot of famous pornstars but the funscripts were ok. I don’t know how frequent they update the scripts. I canceled my subscription but I am planning to renew my subscription.
You have to download the funscripts and videos and therefore it might not be that convenient for someone…for me that was never an issue.

Thank you. I have been researching the Q3 before I buy it, and the biggest question i have that I cant seem to get answered is: what resolution videos (from wankzvr, since im active there now) should I be downloading? What can the Q3 do smoothly on its own? I do not have a 5 grand gaming computer, so what resolution can I reliably enjoy with just the headset? Thank you so much

I don’t own a Quest 3, but DeoVR wrote a bit about decoding VR on this headset. Maybe that helps.

Highest resolution is support (8k+) with most studios being around 7680x3840. Also no 5k PC needed at all. If you also want to play PC VR games it’s less than 1000$ for something that will go a long way. Not sure where your 5k mention comes from, lol.

Once I got used to 8k, my old 4k JOI videos from Wankz became hard to watch. Any recommendations for high quality JOI content?

Well, it was an arbitrary number I wrote down to convey my apprehension of additional expense, and also probably because the specific cost of the computer was irrelevant to the question. I didnt do any research on gaming hardware cost prior to asking “what is the max resolution porn videos i can play smoothly with a Q3 by itself?” Despite the pedantry, thank you for your answer.

The 7-8k videos seem to actually still make a difference in comparison to 6k, so you should be able to enjoy the quality of 7k and 8k videos. Also, VRBangers released a video with 12k and even though your headset is not 12k, the detail still comes through and makes a difference.

Sadly Wankz never made the step to better quality. Wankz comes at the worst quality when it comes to how good old videos age.

Most of the VR videos I enjoy are not JOI, but more on the interactive side, but SLR has some JOI videos, but the quality is mixed, with some of them probably worse than your old JOI videos.

Just got into this world and immediately noticed heresphere is missing content from vrcosplayx. It’s only like 7 or 8 pages and it says it only scanned 200 something videos. 8 pages is only 96 videos and vrcosplayx claims over 300 videos on site. And I can see videos on the flat site I can’t find in heresphere.

And googling returns no results. Is this really a major bug that no one talks about? Or is it because I’m still on the trial version of heresphere?

There seems to be something going on with them. WankzVR/POVR work great but BadoinkVR and their other sites all have that problem and it seems they have given up trying to address it and are now trying to move people to PrismVR which doesn’t support funscripts yet.

Thanks for this post! It’s a nice overview of the available porn sites. I think you missed some of the best tools for watching VR porn though.

Although streaming is a convenient way to consume VR porn I’ve been frustrated by poor compatibility with the Handy and content disappearing from sites. For example, SexLikeReal has this happen at least a few times a year when their contracts with particular content providers expire - taking all the videos and funscripts offline. My solution has been to download scenes and funscripts I like. Organizing these by renaming files gets old fast though, which brings me to…

xbapps/xbvr: Tool to organize and stream your VR porn library (github.com)

xbvr is a vr porn library management app. It runs in the background on your PC or NAS. xbvr will scrape the public information available from a variety of porn sites - including all the ones discussed in this thread. These are “scenes” tracked in xbvr. You can then import videos plus - optionally - funscripts. These get associated with the scene - regardless of location and file name. xbvr has the option to watch trailers and mark scenes you want to download later. It has rich filtering options to help you find the porn you want too.

You can easily browse and playback the xbvr scenes with HereSphere in a nice gallery view - including Handy and Bluetooth toys being supported in-app. Buttplug.io compatible toy support is also available by running additional PC apps. You can even add “flat” AKA 2D AKA normal porn scenes with funscripts from EroScripts to xbvr as scenes manually.

HereSphere is the best VR video solution. Admittedly the UI is a little intimidating at first, but spend a few minutes with it and you’ll love the flexibility. It supports all VR formats, passthrough video, and has adjustments to fix problems the porn studios are too lazy to address. It even has streaming support for some VR porn sites if you like.

The user experience with this setup is fantastic. I get in position with the Handy and VR gear, run HereSphere on the headset, and I’m watching interactive VR porn in under 2 minutes. For me this has replaced all other porn.

Well XBVR looks awesome.

Quick question, since i can’t seem to find a guide for it. Whats the suggested file structure for downloaded videos and fun scripts for this? Just throw it all in a flat folder, or some sort of per video folder or all videos in a folder and all funscripts in a folder? I likely want to be ready to try the “official” fun scripts from the publisher and community ones found here, so whats the right way to save multiple scripts per video and switch between them?

The file linking is done within XBVR, no need for complex naming, just stick with the studio naming for video/funscript and they should be recognized for most. If you do want to use multiple videos/funscripts/subtitles you’ll want to flip the support on in Heresphere under user settings and set each scene to ‘multi’ in XBVR (typically need for JAV-VR)

@dingle made this guide:

I have a few different folders because xbvr has to scan the entire directory for changes when you add new files. By breaking up my collection into various folders it speeds things along. And I can still do a periodic “scan all folders”.

I also split the funscripts up: paid, AI generated, free
