Tags for multiple male/female (and trans/futanari?)

I’m creating a new topic because after reading this (Site News: June 6th 2026 - #10 by VladTheImplier):

I took a step back to write some examples and it made me realize that for most people this suggestion is more about media structure than sexual orientation, so it wouldn’t be a good fit for the original topic where I brought this on (and a proper topic may be better for discussion).

Disclaimer: this proposal is from the point of view of someone who mainly browses animation content, where those tags would be abundant.

Context:

I proposed the addition of new #multiple-male and #multiple-female tags here:

With a bit more context here:

Adding @VladTheImplier’s response for context:

This kind of suggestion was also previously discussed, in a way, here (Cuckold vs NTR tags + group tags):

We reached a compromise because of the way we were tagging at the time:

But in hindsight, the #multiple-<group> tags should be the simpler, more general ones.

The idea

The threesome tags are really nice to have, and the gangbang/reverse-gangbang/orgy trio can work for a lot of cases, but they still miss a bunch of scenarios that can’t be described by existing tags. The proposed tags are also neutral, without the connotations that existing tags have. My argument is that the proposed tags wouldn’t be niche, they would actually be more general and apply to more cases.

Examples about some of the proposed tag relationships based on the existing tags:

  • gangbang mostly implies #multiple-male, but #multiple-male doesn’t imply gangbang
  • reverse-gangbang mostly implies #multiple-female, but #multiple-female doesn’t imply reverse-gangbang
  • orgy mostly imples #multiple-male and #multiple-female, but #multiple-male and #multiple-female present at the same time doesn’t imply orgy.
  • gay implies #multiple-male, but #multiple-male doesn’t imply gay
  • lesbian implies #multiple-female, but #multiple-female doesn’t imply lesbian
  • threesome mostly implies #multiple-male or #multiple-female, but is ambiguous unless a child tag like mmm, mmf, mff, etc., is used, which is harder to manage when you want to search for or filter a group (multiple male/female/trans/futa)
  • foursome mostly implies #multiple-male and/or #multiple-female, but is ambiguous (similar to threesome)

The multiple-<group> tags are more generic in general and can tag scenarios where current tags break because they are too specific. Some examples:

  • Woman A has sex with man B. In another scene, woman C has sex with man B. This is #multiple-female, but not threesome nor lesbian.
  • Man A and B have sex with woman C, but A and B don’t interact. This is threesome, but I would not call it gay.
  • Man A and woman B have sex somewhere. Man C and woman D have sex somewhere else. This is #multiple-female and #multiple-male, but not gay, nor lesbian, nor orgy, nor foursome.

The examples above are mostly only M and F for simplicity. I do realize there will be edge cases where part of the characters in the media are trans or futanari (e.g.: futa + male + female gangbang wouldn’t use any of the proposed tags), but those should be extremely rare and I do think the proposed tags would fit a larger amount of media than the tags we currently have.
