Upcoming loli/shota ban and timeline

that is sad

Sad, but understandable. There were some posts with this tag that were really crossing a line, but I hope that content which doesn’t qualify for this won’t be caught in the crossfire and that creators won’t be discouraged to share their creations. And I also hope people will find an alternative hosting platform for this type of content.
Also, the fact that beastiality/furry videos are not discussed in the same light is downright absurd.

That’s all whatever. Just hypothetics. The law is purposefully vague and amorphous. I’m fine with this site not hosting loli content. We’re literally sharing text based instruction files here. It’s not exactly super pressing either way. They can be shared anywhere. This is also the only real forum for these devices that’s worth coming too. You’ll probably come here shortly after buying one, so it should be as inviting to a “average joe” audience as possible.

The real issue is collecting money through patreon and gumroad which both restrict loli and NSFW content respectively. Gumroad is considerably more lax on what is sold their, so they might be fine with being used to pay for server costs even if the site is nsfw, but with Patreon, loli wasn’t to slide anyway. Patreon is strict enough, that I would argue that any mention that loli was ever permitted or shared here should be scrubbed.

So Eroscripts is officially dead. Anyone got recommendations for alternative sites who doesn’t bow down to censorship?

I personally don’t give a half a toot what happens, who does it, or the reasons behind it.

People aren’t going to stop making this sort of content, and the people who enjoy this content will always find a way to get it.
Killing one platform will only result in the creation of another (or several).

God that’s so performative its laughable. You can’t be bothered with moderation, just be honest and don’t lie to your community

You realize that this place is effectively a piracy site?

If you really wanted to keep the site safe, you’d remove all download links to ALL content.

For all the people celebrating this ban, don’t forget how quickly a moderation team can change, and when they decide that the content you like is too “difficult”.

Looking you furry/beast fans, you’re next. 2B getting fucked by a CG wolf is as much beastiality as loli is child porn.

This is the path that has always been, it has been repeated site after site. Soon they will also have to battle the legality of people uploading “stolen” content, which should be the real fight.

All issues can be resolved by having the site hosted on DMCA protected servers, and considering the amount of space and performance a site like this requires is quite low It’s really not that much more expensive.

At some point I do think it’s worthwhile for the owner to consider a non-US host. I also mentioned this in the following post: Upcoming loli/shota ban and timeline - #30 by alphasigma

I can’t tell you how much better I sleep at night knowing HMV Mania has a DMCA exempt server.

If they did that, they could no longer use US law to justify the loli ban, so never gonna happen

Ok but on the topic of the rule itself. It’s extremely subjective what seems to be hit by the sweep or not. I’m seeing lots of posts being untagged that I KNOW would make Twitter antis seethe and call you a child predator for liking.

I mean, one of the most egregious example and longstanding debate is about Uzaki Chan. Miss titties herself. They say she look underage. Is she ok? She definitely has the body of a grown up. Whose judgement are we basing what is ok on?

All of the cast of Blue Archive (except a few exceptions) ARE underage but don’t look it (except a few exceptions again). Does it mean they are a no-go?

It’s extremely vague and my distaste for the decision itself aside, it won’t please anyone. Even the staff who will most likely have to painstakingly revew a ton of threads because posts that would be considered OK will still get flagged by overly zealous types, People won’t know if the video they scripted is fine until they make the thread, etc.

I guess credit card companies will be the only winners.

I rambled a bit but my main point (and question)
Other than Customudon and Nakk stuff, which is blatantly obviously out, how will we know if something passes?

And it gets even murkier with some JAV idols like Lala Kudo and Atomi Shuri…

fyi the vast majority of anime characters are underage by US standards

from what i understand prepubecent is what they are looking for, if they are 16 which most are in blue archive they don’t count

Until the definitions get stricter in a few months

Oh I know and it’s specifically why I chose one that is absolutely not for my first example. Both in body and canonical age (I want to clarify I don’t give a single shit about canonical ages of drawings)

Uzaki being a point of debate is mind boggling to me, but she is.

And then you got the blue archive girls. I think Eimi is 15.
THIS ONE

I confirm:

She obviously should be safe but who’s to say?
(Besides, she doesn’t have a lot of animations made about her to my knowledge :frowning: )

I believe this site is not based out of the US. I know that there are countries outside the US where animated loli porn is treated the same as regular child pornography.

The US doesn’t do that (currently afaik) because there is no victim, and the point of child pornography laws is to stop children being exploited by being forced to make porn.

It’s not just US but that was the main example here
